Hard to get the attachment on the mixer.Would also be nice if ice cream recipes came with it

This fits most kitchenaid mixers. There are two parts. The first part attaches to the mixing head. It does not fit the head attachment snuggly. Feels like there is no way the attachment and mixing paddle are going to hold. The mixing paddle attaches to the head attachment with notches. Once attached, they hold very well. It is a little tricky to get mixing paddle lined up with the head attachment. This is where this product loses a star.Once attached, turn mixer in stir mode. Then pour in ice cream mixture to bowl. Stir mode is the lowest speed on mixer. Not very noisy for that reason.I decided to throw in some frozen blueberries to vanilla ice cream base. This is not a good idea. It throws the mixing paddle and attachment off. Had to readjust bowl. If not adding anything ice cream churns fine.It takes about 25 minutes or so to get ice cream. Consistent with other ice cream makers.Overall, the ice cream bowl is very good. I went with this after my 10 year old ice cream bowl had seen better days. Ice cream comes out just as good as original ice cream maker. It is a good value for money. No need to buy another kitchen appliance. Works just as well as fancy ice cream maker. Worth a try at reasonable price.

We love ice cream (too much) so we got this attachment for our mixer and were quite shocked at the quality of it. We never made ice cream before and didn’t even know we could with a mixing bowl attachment so we ordered it and were very pleasantly surprised. We are now doing a low carb diet and wanted to try this to make some keto ice cream, it worked really well. Good value for the price!
