We just had freezing drizzle and I was able to walk with confidence (and I’m 80 years old!).

Purchased these for my 70 year old wife for safety reasons. The weather this winter with small but frequent snowfalls has lead to compaction and ice on our driveway. Easy to apply and remove. Provide a secure walking experience on thick ice.

I received my Ice Trax Cleats and they are perfect! A very good quality, packed well and shipped at top speed! This comes as no surprise, as it is what we have come to expect from Canadian Products and their superb customer service. Despite the unhinged rantings of a deranged fool, we here in Maine love, stand with and respect our good neighbors to the north, Mari Usque Ad Mare!I wear a size 9 1/2 regular US and the Small / Mediums are a VERY snug fit on my boots. A wide shoe size will definitely need the next size up.Do not hesitate with this item or this seller, buy with confidence!

Bought these for a trip to the Hokkaido Snow Festival. Saved me and my wife from falls on icy surfaces. Spikes really dig in. Note that, the spikes of the V5 are a bit long which throws off your balance a bit when walking on hard surfaces. As for fit, they stay securely on shoes or boots but are a pain to put on. They are well made and look like they will last a few seasons. They also come with an extra pair of replacement spikes.

In Real World winter walking just happened to find a weakness on Both walking aids left & right foot are wearing away at the heel area that will end the use of these non thourthly developed traction aids and the weakness is the rear heal webbing that is showing signs of wearing down like a Non balanced car tire & will separate eventually & be on no use because has worn down so much that said webbing will fail & separate from the rear heal of a boot or shoe. This place so-called ice tracks NEEDS to Beef Up this area to prevent rubber webbing separation after only a half winter or 3 months of Non daily cement & asphalt use. See the camera image shot's of eventual complete & catastrophic failure for a buyer of these there made to be temporary until they fail & have to buy again because of said heel webbing area.

The traction of these devices is quite good, particularly the Tungsten Carbide version. However, they are way undersized. The S/M should be called XS, the L/XL should be called M, and they should add a S size and a size L. The L/XL barely fit onto either my wife's Women8 insulated boot or my Men8 uninsulated boot. And the S/M barely fit onto my wife's Women 8 uninsulated boot.

These are light and easy to put on your boots or shoes. We used them on lots of hikes in the snow and ice trails over winter. Worked really well on the firm snow and flat ice.Have noticed though that quite a few of the hard blue plastic pieces that the metal spikes screw into have broken fixings so are only partially restrained inside the rubber outer. They are still there but I suspect that some of these will fall out next winter when we use again. So overall these work well and good option for occasional use, but not robust enough for regular use.

These aren't just great for ice they're good for all slippery terrain. I wouldn't use them over micro spikes on a steep slope but they do work well enough especially if you use the carbide tip hex bolt towards the toe end. My only critique would be to include a way to secure the rubber straps over the forefoot area, I use a piece of elastic and it works great to keep everything in place. These are my favorite all around traction for winter, period!

I gave 4 stars just because I haven't needed to use them yet. They look like good quality and I really like that they have replaceable cleats. They came with a storage bag, a tool and two replacement cleats. My old pair did not have replaceable cleats and I lost two cleats the first time I used them. That is what really helped me to decide that these were better along with the cleat style.

I do a lot of walking in the winter, from payment to pure ice. I have owned a number of different pairs of Ice Cleats. These are by far the best I have owned. They are very comfortable to walk in. They fit your boot very well. I have used them a couple of time so far and I am very confident walking on ice and snow covered ice. Haven't slipped once yet. I also like that you can replace the spikes in them. I usually wear out a pair of cleats a year and I hope I will just have to replace spike from here on in. I will have to see how they stand up. But so far the best I have used to date.
