I ordered the rascal originally and it was very very quiet, I could only hear it on max volume from about 150’ away. (&it was very static sounding). The Bluetooth connection was very frustrating at times too, sometimes if you turned the volume above 70% it’d disconnect for some reason.Sent that back and ordered this Renegade instead and it works amazing! Super clear and SO loud, I typically play this at 1/2 volume or less. Bluetooth works great too! Everything I was hoping for.

OK, it uses 10 AA batteries in the main unit - no problem. However, it uses a special 12 volt battery called an A23 that you cannot find at my local store and have to order online. So, instead of being able to take out my caller and test it, I have to wait 3-5 days for a battery to come in from Amazon. Unit does, apparently, work OK, but I just cannot test the rem,ote with no battery. When a remote requires a special battery, it should be supplied with the remote.
