Spark plug wire crimping tool, 8.5mm Wire Crimper; The best wire crimping tool available for making custom wire sets or wiring. Constructed with a heavy duty hardened steel frame with molded non-slip hand grips. An adjustable ratchet mechanism produces consistent factory-style high quality crimps. This special tool is an inexpensive way to make a set of custom plug wires. It provides a die to strip either 8mm heli-core or 8.5mm super conductor wire, to provide a solid terminal crimp to the wire.
When to Replace Spark Plugs?
If you check your owner's manual, you'll probably find that your automaker recommends you replace your spark plugs roughly every 30,000 miles. That's fine if you're using stock spark plugs. However, the actual timing of replacement will vary depending on other factors.

This is a nice set of crimpers. Used on 8.5mm spark plug wires. Only flaw is that I had to “start” the crimp with a needle nose set of pliers prior to inserting into these pliers. Other than that, they worked great on my double crimp terminals.

I used these to make custom spark plug wires for my 68 chevelle. They worked great. Just get some old plug wires and practice a few times before you work on your actual vehicle if you have never used the crimper before. With a couple practice crimps, you can make custom wires with no problem.

had to make a set of wires custom fit for a old truck, this tool fit the bill perfectlyonly drawback was I had to use a separate wire cutter to trim wires to length, but the strippingand crimping tool was easy to use and worked perfectly
