I thought this would be a simple upgrade for a 5.3L in our Yukon. It was a lot more involved than I expected it to be. First the welded alignment tab had to be removed. Then the factory mounting tab had to be cut down. There is no paperwork with this so it’s pretty much trial and error.Update: This doesn’t just bolt up on an original equipment pickup tube but it fits the Melling pickup tube like a glove. I highly recommend this for the Melling pickup tube and since the quality of the aftermarket tube is substantially better, I recommend installing these two parts together.I added this to a Melling M259-324S oil pump package and am very pleased with the outcome.

It's exactly as described. Only issue was I'm running a double roller and the timing cover interfered with the installation. I couldn't safely get a single bolt girdle (Moroso) into the location without the high likelihood of a bolt or girdle falling into the cover. This part didn't have that issue as it wraps around the entire pickup tube and stays put while you get the bolts lined up.I did have to shave the girdle down a bit to get it to fit around the timing cover (Again due to running a double roller chain.) But 5 minutes with a Dremel (2 to find the Dremel, 2 to find the right bit and 1 minute to actually shave the part enough.) did the trick. (It didn't need much.)

worked great fit well i did have to grid a little notch in it only because there was a spot weld on the oil pick up tube that was keeping this lift up. I'd buy again if I need one.

Amazing product, found it satisfying watching the whole piece sit flush against the oil pump. I did have the wrong oil pickup tube shown in the picture which says wont fit, didnt realize until it was already ordered. After some grinding the tube, it fit like a dream, error was on my side and I liked the way it looked. Also felt good quality, bolts did feel cheap but believe it was cause of their size(8mm) compared to OEM (10mm)Used on a LQ4

Works great, I did have to grind down a little weld on the pickup tube but that's not the products fault. Also my pickup tube is one and a half inches off the oil pan bottom. I don't know what that's about but I am having to extend it.

Save yourself some trouble and buy a new pick-up tube if your vehicle has the welded-flange type. I replaced my pick-up tube, used this part, and it worked great. Before I had less than 20psi at start up and about 40psi while driving. I also had a very loud tapping/ticking noise. This part along with the new pick-up tube solved my issue. I now have 40psi at idle and 60psi while driving. I no longer have the noise. This product does a great job of suspending the pick-up tube and prevents future issues. Very happy with the quality as well.

Perfect fit. Gm should have put this in themselves. Added security for my oil pump tube. 2 screws instead of 1. Made the install of a new pump easy with even tension sliding into the oil pump with out damaging the o ring

It’s pretty dumb that GM puts two threaded holes in the oil pump for the pickup tube, but uses only one. I installed this with a new pickup tube. It’s very high quality and comes with two new mounting bolts. Now I have the extra piece of mind that my pickup tube is secure and sealed right.
