The first couple of weeks after installing this IAC the 5700 Vortec ran fine except for High Idle (1500 RPM) when first started for about 10 seconds then drop to 750. I thought maybe I could live with that but after a couple of weeks, the idle was up to 2k rpms and for about 15 seconds before returning to 1000 rpm. A couple more weeks go by and now when you stop at red light for a few seconds, the truck starts lunging and you have to either shift to Neutral or Park and hold the brakes really hard and it settles down but is very unsafe and unacceptable. I ended up ordering the Delphi CV10011 Idle Air Control Valve (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000CGHUQ4?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details)

Looks just like the original, but doesn't work as well as the original factory part did. My 96 K1500 must be warmed up for a couple of minutes prior to driving or it runs poorly. When first started, the truck sounds 0and runs very rough for 10 to 15 seconds then levels off somewhat for another minute before it evens out and reduces rpms. I'm going to have to spend the $80 and get the proper part...
