The connector was clocked incorrectly; OEM was about 1000, this one was around 8:00. Luckily there was clearance to push the connector on. Motor idles perfectly.

My '99 Silverado 5.3L was pathetic the way it would go from a high idle to a putt putt putt then back up to high idle then putt putt putt. After replacing the sensor. I start the truck it runs up to a high idle that in my opinion is several hundred Rs higher then feels comfortable. Then goes down to a fairly smooth idle, right at about 6. It doesn't stumble all over itself driving b4 it's up to full temp. The juries still out on the stability of RPM when for instance driving highways speeds for a time then exiting and coming to a light. The temp went up outside and many of you know that only happens when it's colder out 0 & below roughly. That idle fluctuation could be the 02 sensors I'm thinking. In my none professional opinion. All in all it was worth the price. Just fyi if you haven't done one b4. It's easy to replace but make sure to get the lower more hidden screw tight. It's a 20 or was it 25 torx on mine.

This valve worked great for almost 1 week. Now it sticks when it's cold outside and is almost worse than it was before changing it.

'99 5.3l 1500-Z71Very noticeable difference, but I also replaced my M.A.P. (Manifold Absolute Pressure) sensor, as well as T.P.S (Throttle Position Sensor)...All together I spent less than $50 on all 3 parts. I bought a poorly maintained Truck, and those gave breath to life. Brick/Mortar stores cost roughly $70 for this I.A.C. This Idle Air Control sensor is easy to install, and if you're getting rough idle or surging ingnition, u can't go wrong here.

My No Nonsense review: My 2002 Chevy Avalanche was idling ruff and ruff starts 2 screws about 15 minutes and worked like a charm. If you find this helpful please hit like
