The initial camera setup was straightforward and the camera connected to my wifi quickly. The video quality is very sharp. One of the reasons for my purchase was the notification feature and their app motion notification works very well. The solar charging is an added bonus as the battery always stays charged.After a couple of months of use, I had an issue with my camera not turning on. I have four ieGeek cameras and this was the only unit that I had any issues with. I contacted ieGeek customer service and my experience with customer service was excellent. They immediately responded to my emails and sent a replacement camera within a couple days. I appreciated the prompt response by ieGeek support service.

The ieGeek Security Cameras Wireless Outdoor, 2K 2.4G WiFi Camera with Solar Panel and Battery is simple to mount, easily installed with the ieGeek Android app, and easily configured to capture great-quality surveillance videos. Just love this camera - so far I’m quite pleased with the way the camera is operating. The camera is very good and I would definitely recommend it to others, esp as a starter security camera!> Picture quality: for the price you cannot beat the picture clarity & brightness and it does the job quite well.> Size: very compact , not overly sized … I have it mounted so I get a 180 degree view around the walk up to the patio door of my home.> Brightness: the brightness is good. I love the alarm feature set at night which can actually be set 24/7 or individual time periods. The LED light on the camera is very bright, and when the LED is on, the camera turns back to color vision.> Settings & setup: Settings are intuitive to navigate and achieve your desired operation, including recording only humans walking across the camera's field of view - a really nice feature. Setup was extremely easy... taking a picture of the QR code allows set up to be a breeze.> SUMMARY: I would definitely recommend this ieGeek surveillance camera as being 5 out of 5, esp at this price point!

I use ieGeek cameras to monitor my outdoor chickens. This new camera has a super-simple setup wizard; I had it charged and connected to my wifi in minutes. The picture quality is great. A new feature on this camera is the ability to use a spotlight to have color pictures when it's dark. This is especially useful to tell the chickens apart! The small solar panel keeps the camera charged and functional even across several days of cloudy/wet weather. I don't use the motion alerts, but did test them out and they worked well. I hoped the new anti-flicker frequency setting (50Hz / 60Hz) would allow the camera to visualize the small LED lights on an appliance in my crawlspace (so I don't have to go down there to diagnose problems) but it didn't do that. I haven't yet found any camera that works for those lights. However, this camera worked well at visualizing my laptop screen, without any flickering (which is actually the purpose of this setting, I believe). Overall, this is a great new camera. I have also found this company very responsive and helpful with questions about their products.
