Instructions for Latch Installation:
- Using a phillips head screwdriver, remove previous part from cooler.
- With cooler lid closed, line up part to existing screw holes on cooler.
- Using a phillips head screwdriver, attach new part to cooler with included screws.

These are exactly like the original. This is the 3rd set I have gone through. They get somewhat brittle after sitting in the elements for a LONG time. The cooler stays on the deck of my boat in all weather. The cooler now lives in the bed of my pickup truck, another tough situation. I used the fire hose parts on my smaller cooler that suffers a similar fate. I never had to replace those after installation.So, If you don't leave the cooler exposed to the elements for years, these should last for you. The originals lasted over 3 years in the elements. If you want the original look, these are for you. They are easy to install and fit perfectly. I think the cooler is amazing to have lasted this long with just replacing hinges and latches every few years.

Perfect fit. This unit has single screw locking nub. My original had 2 screws. Ease of replacement just mount latch lock first with new nub in latch, close and add screw into new nub for perfect placement.

The latches work a little different than my old ones. But my cooler is a good 15 years old now. I only I stalled the latches, as the tongue on my cooler was setup a little differently than the those that were included. But the latches snap on to the tongue perfectly

This latch is an exact replacement for the one I broke on my igloo cooler. Very easy to install. The only drawback is that the "hinge" part is the weakest part of the latch and will most likely break just like the original one did due to continuous flexing to open and close.

My cooler was in great shape- except for one of the hinges cracked during our last camping trip. I hated to spend $100 or more on a new cooler, when the one I had still had years of use left. I was so happy when I found these hinge replacements on line. But was, honestly, a bit concerned if they would be difficult to install, or actually work. To my surprise they installed within minutes and worked well. The closure does seem to be of a bit lower quality than my original latches, but time will tell how it holds up. Even it just buys me another season or two of use it will be well worth the price.

Our original hinges had cracked and we decided to replace them with new. Unfortunately very expensive just for a Piece of plastic but they do fit exactly like the original.
