I love these glasses. They are beautiful and substantial, not delicate. However, the description indicates 12 oz. No way do they hold 12 oz. 8 ounces comfortably--maybe 10 to overflow capacity. I would have bought more if they actually held 12 oz.

Rim chipped very soon after use, I have the water glasses and haven't had any problems. However the small wine glass chipped after less than two months of use.

Being half-finnish I grew up with Ittala glassware and I always liked the Ultima Thule look. We are building our own collection of them and this is our latest purchase. Perfect for a can of beer or soda. Well maybe except the last cl or two. Looks very nice and very sturdy. And they hold up to machine wash, as all glassware should of course. My mother have 30+ year old Ultima Thule glasses and they look like new.
