About this item

  • Ideal Replacement: Compatible with American Standard 7381424-100.0070A Vormax silicone seal. Made from durable, dry-rot resistant silicone rubber. Equivalent to part 7381424-100.0070A.
  • Stop Running Toilets: When the flapper doesn't tightly reseal against the flush valve, water will continue to flow down into the toilet bowl causing the water level in the tank to never reach the level necessary to shut off the water supply valve. Keep these flappers handy so you never have to worry about a running toilet, self flushes or ghost flushes.
  • Value 3 Pack: If you have an American Standard VorMax model then you know that flappers do wear out over time. With this 3 pack value, you will be set for years to come!
  • Works On Select American Standard Vormax Toilets: Compatible with American Standard VorMax Plus, Estate VorMax, Heritage VorMax and High Efficiency model toilets. If you have any questions about fit, please ask a question below.
  • 5 Minute Install: Installation instructions for proper use below. Installation is simpler than you'd expect, and does not require any tools for installation. Please note: This is an aftermarket replacement product (produced by Impresa Products) meeting or exceeding the quality of OEM rings (based on in-house testing). We have no affiliation with or endorsement from American Standard or any of the brands mentioned in this listing.

Used this product instead of the toilet manufacturer’s own over-priced ones. Only wish it came with 4 in a pack because the toilet uses two at a time. It’s nice to have one spare, though. Easy install. It’s been many months and they’re holding up perfectly.

Material is different from OEM. These seals are not flat and consequently leak. Picture shows left and right seals not in contact with surface. Leaks significantly. Toilet empties in an hour with water supply turned off. I’ve tried two other non-OEM seals to try and save a buck. They all leaked to some extent. These are the worst. Save yourself time and hassle and buy the OEM seals. I ended up buying them in the end and they seal perfectly.

Needs to be two or four seals in the package. My toilet uses two, so I have one left over.

These flapper seals are great. To get four years from anything these days is impressive. I looked at the price and they are half the price of the American Standard ones. So really good value. This is my second order so I’m well pleased.

I used these replacement seals for an American Standard 4270A toilet. I did not have a bad leak, just an annoying leak. The toilet water would cycle about every 20-30 minutes. I could see just a faint disturbance of the water surface in the toilet due to the leak.Turn off the water and flush the toilet to drain the tank, and obviously remove the toilet lid.I started on the right (red) side and pulled the plastic flapper off at the two hinges. I have to say, that this was difficult and it concerned me that I might break the plastic part.To remove the seal, start and remove the small nibs first, furthest from the large one, and gently pull them off the plastic part. Do the largest one last. When re-assembling, do the opposite, start and install the largest nib first and then add the other smaller ones. The plastic flapper is split with a hinge. You many need to pull and separate the plastic to get the holes to line-up with the seal nibs.Run your finger nail around the rim of the black seat at the bottom of the toilet, to ensure that there are no mineral deposits or other debris that would prevent a good seal. It must be smooth. On the second (black) flapper, I decided to try to replace the seal without pulling off the plastic flapper. I was able to remove and replace the seal without any real issues, just doing it upside down. It took possibly a minute longer, but was worth not worrying about breaking the plastic piece.Turn the water back on and test flush the toilet to ensure that the lever, chains and floats operate properly, and allow the flappers to fully close. Make any adjustments if necessary, to ensure no binding or twisting occurs. Your leak should be solved.OK, an Engineer’s commentary – I don’t get it. My old, leaking seals had no apparent blemishes, marks and/or defects that I could either see or feel. But, clearly they were leaking. The new seals did what they were supposed to, and I have no more leaking or water cycling. So, absolutely a success, and at this price, and in my opinion, well worth the few minutes to replace yourself, rather than incur a plumber’s charge. It was really simple.Just do it folks. Take a breath and work at it slow, and it should be worth it.

Best sometimes to do it yourself. Fantastic product. Great seal and corrected the link from water tank to bowl. Recommend change both flaps at same time.

They are easy to install once you figured out how to change them out. Our two commodes have run for a month now! Once we figured out how to install them on the first commode the second one was easy. The first one installed really worked great, no more running constantly! The second commode still runs occasionally! It did not fix the problem 100%!

These get you out of a pinch and way cheaper than the originals. The quality control is lacking though. And it's noticeable when comparing them side to side. The flatside on all 3 has a "depression" and seems to be at the same spot. I had these as a backup to when the others will fail (bumps or blisters) and wasn't able to return them because too much time had passed.
