Indoor Bike Trainer Exercise Stand - Sportneer Magnetic Bicycle Cycling Stationary Training Stand with Noise Reduction Wheel for Road Bike, Higher Resistance - I was looking for a trainer to put my Trek on during the winter and rainy days. This is great. You have to play around with the tension against the back tire otherwise you will find that it will eat the rubber. It was easy to put together and It serves the purpose. It’s not silent, but then I don’t find it any louder than what I’d expect out of a trainer. The whurrr-whurrr-whurrr sound doesn’t bother me and when I put in my earbuds and ride a trail via YouTube I don’t seem to even think about the noise. I am happy with it.

This has been a great option for biking in winter for our MN family. It was easy to assemble and works really well. It is louder than we expected but not obscenely loud that it can be heard from the next floor or next room. Highly recommend.

Pros: stable, compact, very easy setup. Fairly quiet, and would be even quieter with a tire change. Appears to be well made…. EXCEPTCons: the resistance cable is stiff and there is NO strain relief where it enters the housing for the magnetic resistance gizmo. That point is where the cable bends most when you’re moving or setting up the stand, and it WILL fail after enough flopping around. I’m figuring out how to MacGuyver together a strain relief, meanwhile being very careful of the cable when I’m setting up. The other issue is with the tensioning screw that brings the roller into contact with the bike tire. It flips out of its hole between setups and there’s no spring to keep it in place. You have to be on your hands and knees behind the thing to see if it’s in the proper position. Neither of these things will be a big deal if you plan on leaving the gizmo set up all the time. But if, like me, you set up every day for your workout, these are both annoyances and likely failure points.Still - I paid less than $90 for this and consider it a good value. A darn decent “poor man’s Peloton”, especially if I can strengthen its weak points.

I have had trainers in the past that were easy to use, this is not. It requires 2 to assemble as it is unsteady, and one would fine owning 2 bikes preferable to placing and removing a bike from this unit. I could still return it, and think about it, but tossed the correct box

A few months in and I'm happy with the purchase. I love the connection points and that its not screws, so when the weather is nice i can take it off quickly and ride outside. The fly wheel is pretty quiet, my dog has gotten used to it. Shifting is smooth so riding with the pelaton app is pretty easy to keep up.
