Not entirely weatherproof. Must keep it greased and stored in dry place. Works good on heavy rope. For smaller rope use the smaller size pulley. Made in China.

As received, the sheave (pulley) squeaked on the pin and rubbed against the insides of the wooden shell. The becket (extended metal binding at bottom) looked as if it were hacked out by a chain saw. The unit is functional, but quality and fit and finish leave a lot to be desired.I took my unit apart and discovered that the sheave did have a bronze bushing that fit loosely on the pin. The bushing may have been sintered and impregnated with lubricant, but I added grease just in case. Then I installed spacers on each side of the sheave to keep it from rubbing on the inside of the shell.As I said before, it's functional but I expected better for the price.
