Camera detail is high resolution enough to see thread definition in fabric. Great ease of use for video or live stream. Prodis very sturdy and flex arm stabile.

I found this document camera to work really well. It has a very good light that illuminates the whole document to be photographed. I addition, the camera can be rotated with the press of a button which is a nice feature. Finally, the camera can be zoomed using the buttons on the console of this device. This makes it easy to zoom on on photos without disturbing the camera by having to crank the camera up and down by hand.

I got this out of curiosity thinking it was a fancy webcam. while you can use it as a webcam and I will. its sooo sooo much more than that. I hardly understand a fraction of what this is seemingly capable of doing.First the few things I noticed. you can TWIST the head to adjust physical rotation of the lens to align with your target. this is really nice. next that little knob on the side. yes. this has optical zoom and it works rather nicely. Its slow but its a document camera so it was not intended to be fast.1080p is smooth but it can do much higher resolutions for scanning.it has an SD card slot and USB Flash drive port. so it can record what you are doing without a PC.it has a whole slew of other functions I am not familiar with yet but it has VGA, HDMI, and Audio minijack connections for both IN and OUT. so its capable of doing a whole lot of other things I am not familiar with yet.Pretty neat bit of tech. I look forward to figuring out more of these functions.

First, the document scanner itself. This is, frankly, one of the best scanners of it's kind that I've seen. The fit, finish, overall design, construction, image quality, and connectivity is pretty fantastic. This scanner commands a premium price, and it delivers premium results.There's a downside...but also an upside TO the downside. First, the software included with this is, well, partially in Chinese, and partially in English. So depending on which feature you're trying to use, you might find it in 100% Chinese, or maybe English.So, the included software needs SERIOUS work before this is ready for distribution in America. But, I've done the legwork and this is what I figured out. If you go looking for cam software that works for your camera but isn't in Chinese, I tried 2 other software options, and ONE of them worked perfectly with this document scanner. So REJOICE! For you can purchase this camera, and forget about the "Scan Camera" software that comes with it (although you may need the codecs it installs). For the software IPEVO Visualizer works GREAT with this.One other software package I tried did not work with this camera. But, as I said, IPEVO Visualizer DOES WORK with this camera, it's free, and it's in English. ALL English.So, had this have been an issue that I couldn't resolve, and if I was stuck with a document cam with Chinese software, this would have gotten 3 stars for "software not ready for US Market"...which it isn't. But because free software is readily available which takes care of this issue, I feel I can freely rate JUST the camera. And the camera? Is EXCELLENT.As a side note, the camera also has VESA standard mounting points on the bottom, so you could mount this to, say, a monitor arm or something of that nature...VERY handy, because if you elevate this above the surface you want to scan, you can scan LARGE FORMAT documents with EASE. Which, frankly, is why I purchased this. Scanning objects larger than will fit on my flatbed scanner (yes, I have a large format flatbed, and even IT isn't big enough) can be a real pain. If you mount this a few feet over your table? You can scan ANYTHING.I came into this on a coin toss, frankly. I was looking for a solution to scan large documents and images. By sheer luck, this turns out to be a wonderful solution. Abandon the stock software, pick yourself up a copy of IPEVO Visualizer, and check out this camera.Note that there are many document cam software programs online (Microsoft even has their own, which I did not try). Other programs besides IPEVO Visualizer MAY work, I can't speak for all of them. I found one that works, and does what I want, and I'm good. But realize that you're NOT STUCK with the included software, and you may be able to find even other programs I haven't tried.Happy scanning!
