Their low-profile design allows them to fit perfectly into even the most shallow of enclosures great for today’s compact cars. Polypropylene woofer cones deliver exceptional bass response at frequencies as low as 27Hz. But what makes these subs really stand out is their Harmanproprietary SSI (Selectable Smart Impedance), which allows the subwoofer to present the amplifier with either a 2 or 4 ohm load at the flip of a switch.

Purchased this sub along with the “ Infinity Reference-6001A Reference Series Mono, 600w X 1 Amplifier”. The sub didn’t last but a couple of hours on the low end settings. The subwoofer started smoking, not sure what caused this as I’m not a bass head… just wanted a little bit more base on top of my factory Bose system and have always been a huge Harmen fan. I have asthma so this wasn’t very pleasant. Look elsewhere.

Good designe only problem was item description said 1000 watts did not give actual r.m.s total most are half of the max input this one is only a quarter at 250 rms so be careful if ure pushing serious wattage this is not the sub for you

I reallt apreciate the overall build this has for the price. I also apreciate being able to select / change the impedance. It's not insanely loud but can be more bass then I want at times which for me is perfect as I'm not an insane bass head. Fits perfect in my Infinity Q50 with a Infinity 5 CH amp.

For the price, I am mindblown. If you need a shallow mount sub, buy this one. I am running my two in 2 ohm config from a 1600 watt pioneer amp. I'm almost 40 and I think this is one of the best sounding audio setups I've ever had in my life. While it won't win bass competitions (not what I wanted) it keeps your music sounding as its intended. i.e. Rock music doesn't shake drowning out guitar solos etc.

I installed this sub in my 94 Chevy Silverado extended cab. The sub is installed in a down-firing sealed enclosure that fits the exact cubic inch size recommendation by Harmon. I seriously am amazed at the response and clarity of this sub. I am using it with 4 Polk Audio DB series 4 x 6 inch speakers and a JL Audio RD900/5. 2 key things to note. 80 to 100 hertz is perfect for a low pass frequency range on this sub. Harmon recommends 80...it will hit much lower ranges just set your slope to a mild setting and you will be surprised. 2nd thing is power. I am running this at 2ohms...pushing about 500 good watts to it. It's super sounding and PLENTY of bass for anyone looking to produce solid sound quality. If you are a bass head you might look elsewhere, that being said it does surprise me with its range and low response. JAM ON PEOPLE!!!

Used this in a custom made box I built to fit under the seat in my 2019 Ram 1500. I am powering it with an AudioControl 1.800 in 4 ohm which gives about 500w RMS, although I have the gains barely turned up past half way. I have been pleasantly surprised at the quality of the sound. It is clean and clear, and hits harder than I expected it to. The box is built to the internal volume specs that Infinity provides, but as you can see, is a complicated shape to fit the various contours under the seat. The main part of the box is also lined with sound deadening (Stinger Roadkill). Would highly recommend if you listen to rock, alternative, acoustic, but likely won't put the door rattling bass out that those who listen to rap or techno are looking for.

Bassi profondi e ottima tenuta in potenza.Consigliatissimo per le installazioni con poco spazio.

I have these set to 4 ohms and been hammering it with an alpine 500 w amp for the last three months. So it's at least that durable. This sub can take RMS really well actually, listening to EDM musics or something is elongated beats this sub sounds pretty good. However, since it's a slim it just can't hit very hard. It's also pretty crisp, not muddy at all, so that's another pro. Overall, after owning this sub, I certainly don't regret buying it, because it's a good clean sub. BUT, next time I'd definitely go with something that can hit harder. If you want to add just a little bass to your system this is perfect, maybe even a little much. But if you're a bass junky, look elsewhere.
