I have put these speakers in 3 cars now, first time i thought it was an anomaly, 2nd time i was impressed, 3rd time i will NEVER put anything else in a car. For the price these speakers sound phenomenal. Lots of bass, clarity on the mids/highs is very good.I have put 350$ set of speakers in that do not sound as good by any metric. Maybe its just my personal taste but at 2x the price even you would not be disappointed. BUY THEM.

If you want to upgrade your stock speakers, buy these. They sound amazing compared to my stock 5 1/4 coaxial speakers (2000 Cherokee). No amplifier yet, just “22 watts” coming from my Kenwood head unit. 4 x 45 watt amp inbound, should make these sound even better. My install was probably harder than most, especially if you will be using this setup in a more modern car that already has a tweeter location. I had to mount the crossovers in the doors and had to modify my interior side mirror trim pieces to accept the tweeters. I also had to modify the tweeter mounts to fit the tight space. While I was in the door I added killmat and closed cell foam to reduce rattles and road noise. My only complaint is that while the tweeters came with wires, the woofers did not. Pretty stupid to not include the wires when they know the speaker wires that used to go to the speakers will now go to the crossover and you’ll have nothing to connect the woofer to the crossover.

Excellent speaker kit. These will not blow you away with bass, but they have such good clarity and enough bass for just about any kind of music.I ended up not using the crossovers that come with it, and used after market bass blockers on the tweeters. After that these sound perfect to my ears.I'm also using these with the factory deck (Hyundai Accent) and still sounds great.

The sound of the speakers are ok but they really lack low-end bass which I really love. Even after adding an amp and a sound processor there still is barely any bass which is very disappointing. My factory 6.5 inch speakers which are generics had way better bass. I sort of regret updating my factory system because now the music gets louder and sounds better but to me it’s mostly about the bass. I don’t feel the music as much now because of the upgrade. I’m considering adding another subwoofer so I can feel the music once again. Music can sound really awesome but without the right amount of bass I’m not going to enjoy it that much at all. When I hear a live band that doesn’t have much bass I can’t seem to even dance to the music for some reason. When I hear certain DJs playing music that have a lot of bass I noticed that dozens of people will dance more than a DJ that doesn’t have much base in their music. It shows me that people love bass also and that I am not the only one. If you are considering getting these speakers you may want to add a subwoofer if you really enjoy bass because the sound is good but it lacks low-end bass.

Not much to say other than I needed a set of components and these were available for next day delivery. What I like about Harman product is that they include plenty of mounting hardware for you to choose from. This component set sounds good. The tweeters are clear and the mid-woofers are capable of volume. No distortion at all.

The speakers give out a great sound output. The bass response quite punchy and powerful but have to play around with the equaliser. I did not find the need to install any additional bass tube as these speakers bass is so good that even at medium volumes my doors and rearview mirrors are vibrating. The only downside is that the mounting adapter provided with the speakers did not match my i20's existing in door holes and so had to use other adapter/mount.

Very crisp and bright sound. Far more superior than pioneers or Kenwoods I have installed before. To me they sound better than the jbls I replaced in my old Acura. I put these in my Lexus is250c and they sound great. They are just missing some bass. The sound is clean with the tweeters and they never distort. Even on full blast they don’t sound bad.

These went into a 2001 VW Eurovan that actually had older aftermarket speakers from Kenwood that were unbelievably bad. It was hard to believe that someone actually pulled out the stock speakers and put those Kenwoods in. The van had two way coax door speakers as well as 3.5" speakers in the dash pointed at the windshield. They were even worse quality. Somehow it seemed that someone thought that four crap speakers would sound better than two crap speakers. Nope. Anyway I put these in the existing door holes and made special round angled tubes to fit the tweeters on the door panels up closer to the window sill so they point more at the front occupants's ears. These speakers are so much more powerful that the plastic door assemblies of the good old Eurovan were just not able to cope with all the vibrations. The whole thing rattled and buzzed with sympathetic vibrations something awful, but I knew it was the doors and not the speakers. I went through the whole door and window slider assembly and jammed and glued in pieces of rubber and felt to keep plastic parts from buzzing against each other. Finally with all the buzzing eliminated, I could actually hear the speakers and just the speakers. Now I have pretty nice audio equipment at home, quite a collection of high end headphones and earbuds. A car on the highway (especially a 20 year old van with a certain number of squeaks and rattles) is a pretty tough noisy listening environment. With the engine off, these things really sound quite lovely. Of course at highway speeds and higher volumes to drown out the wind and road noise, they lose some detail and a lot of bass to all the background noise, that is inevitable. Anyway, very happy and can turn these up as necessary and they never distort or anything like that. Pretty musical sounding considering the environment. As for the holes where the old 3.5" speakers went, I left them empty. When these two door speakers sound this good, not sure what is to be gained by two more speakers. I would just probably have more places buzzing and rattling that I would have to fix. I can actually use those holes as cup holders if I want. They didn't put a lot of cup holders in VWs in those days.

Bought these for 2012 Honda pilot exl without navigation. Honda seems to think last about sound quality with the entry level stereo option. I put these components in the front with the factory stereo and they greatly improved the sound. There is clarity now where it didn't used to be. I should have done this upgrade years ago. The crossovers are a little big, but they did fit on the door under the panel inside the car easily. I am sure these would sound even better with more power, but to me they are a huge improvement over Honda stock speakers.

crossovers fried right away. cheap adds that ruined the speakers. went with sonys that could handle the power. great speakers with cheap, disgusting crossover. stop trying to "package the good with the crap".

Sounds not as great as the Kappa's but well worth the price! Slick design, well built cone. Tweeters are softer sounding then the coaxial Tweeters on the 5 1/4 I replaced. Running 6.5 components in Front and 6.5 coaxial Rear. Good full sound. Rock Concert Style
