Huge mat: actually got this as a floating raft for my kiddos for water sports but the tumbling aspect should work well. We just haven’t used it for that. Seems very sturdy and well made - definitely will need to keep out of direct sun for long periods (pull in regularly if you are using on the water- to prevent the pvc breakdown) but it looks solid for the house. We shall see how durable over time.

This tumbling mat is more like an air mattress.

I have been extremely impressed by this mat.My 6yo daughter just started gymnastics and she has a lot of practice needed to catch up with the rest of her class. She has been using this mat to practice her somersault and cartwheels. It's been perfect because it not only is super comfortable for her to fall on, but it also gives a nice bounce to help with the follow-through.It is impressively rigid and bouncy at the same time. It holds its firm shape and only deforms right where to stand on it (not like how I pictured - like stepping on an air mattress and the whole thing flexing up).The material feels very thick and durable. I weigh about 230 and it feels SOLID when I walk on it - very impressive. It also comes with a really nice quality air pump that twist-locks into the valve on the mat. The valve prevents air from leaking out which ensures it is strongly inflated. To put it away, you just use the pump to vacuum it flat, fold the sides in, and then roll it up and it all fits in the included storage bag.I really can't think of anything to complain about, other than price, but it does seem to be priced competitively to similar products.Would absolutely recommend.

My daughter recently started cheer and needed to work on her tumbling. With other sports and activities its hard to get her to a tumbling gym 30 min away on top of it all. He cheer coach has a similar mat at cheer and so I thought I would buy one for here to practice on.I didn't look good enough and got the 16' mat, which takes up a big portion of my living room. We have been using it outside since the weather is nice, on our grass. Its held up like a champ and it even came with patches and how to instructions if need be. So far we haven't had any issues. Not only is it constructed really well, but it is super easy for my daughter to set up, inflate, move, deflate and put away herself. This has been a great tool and thing to have for my daughter.

This mat is massive! At 16 feet, it offers ample room to tumble while providing a stable platform. The stripes down the middle are crooked, which doesn't effect it's usability, but it does make it look a little cheap. Also, the included blower that you can use to inflate it it underpowered and to be honest, started making so much noise and got so hot that I finally gave up on it out of fear that it might catch fire. So, plan on having another pump on hand if you are going be setting this up frequently. Aside from these minor annoyances, it has held up very well and is easy to store when not in use. Overall, a decent value at the price point.

This is actually our third pad. First we had a full-size (5ft x 9ft x 2ft thick) cheer/gymnastics crash pad that was great for practicing high-lift tumbling routines and landings, but unlike this thing it wasn't inflatable and it took up so much space. We then got another inflatable pad, but it didn't hold up all that well.Unlike our old pad, this mat obviously isn't intended to completely protect you from a higher level fall or cheerleader toss, but for ground-level tumbling it is kind of amazing.I'm not sure what the structure looks like inside this thing, but you can jump on one end of it and it doesn't cause the rest of the pad to bounce at all (unlike an air mattress or a water-blob).We got this for our kids to practice on, but being an inflatable pad I just wasn't sure about how it would handle the abuse of tumbling while still providing a buffer layer of protection against serious injury....so as any semi-athletic 200lb dad would do, I decided to do a couple of jumps and rolls on it.Color me impressed. I did a few full running roll/somersaults and it was smooth as butter. I was kind of expecting to bottom out on my shoulders as I went over but that wasn't the case. Even when flipping onto my feet I still didn't compress the mat completely.Off Label Use: You know those snow days when it is 9 degrees outside with a wind chill of -10 and the kids are all cooped up inside going crazy and driving you crazy...........well if you have this bad boy then you have a bonus option for high-intensity exercise! Technically this is made for tumbling, and as mentioned it does work great for indoor practice, but our kids also discovered that it is exactly the same width as the stairs and it looks remarkably like a slide when it's setting there. It's a little bit too grippy to slide on it directly, so they threw a bed sheet over it and now they are zooming down the stairs like crazy people. From the label, this mat is made of super tough double-layer waterproof tarpaulin that is non slip. It really does grip well and it does a phenomenal job of absorbing the impact from a fall. The mat does come with a nice little pump that filled it up in about a minute. The pump is reversible, so after you're done, you can vacuum out the air to collapse it quicker and more completely so that mat will actually roll up and fit back into the box it came in.The listing for this also says that it can be used in the water too so this summer we'll throw some dish soap on it and it is going to make a KILLER slip-and-slide. Heck, we might even try it out as a flat-water raft at a local pond.No reservations, this is an excellent quality product and I would totally get it again!
