It does light up the camera video but no extra light. I see people better walking farther away from camera. The camera is seeing better in my side house. I dont have leave a light on anymore.

12 array illuminator worked great for 2-3 months, then I noticed a drop in ground illumination on camera and found 1/2 the lights dimmed or stopped working. Have sent company email via amazon for warranty coverage.I loved it while it worked!

They light the area IR very well and you have to actually look at night to notice them on. I have one every 40' around the perimeter. They light the area so well I can't distinguish any light provided by the stationary cameras from the light provided by these. The image in each camera is lit so well the only way it appears IR (rather than flood or daylight).

It was very hard to get this light to remain on, and when it did I noticed no difference in my tracking capabilities of my oculus meta quest 2 or 3 headset.
