I bought this bellyband at 4 months pregnant to support my pregnancy as I did not want to replace all my pants with maternity leggings.Note that you will only receive ONE (1) item, and not 2 as advertised, which was disappointing. The product itself functions well, and holds the elasticity just right for me now at 6 months. I am size XS (UK Size 6, US size 0 or 0P) and use size 1 based on the instructions. Given how it hold on me, I would suggest anyone UK size 10 onwards to upsize as the band may be very stretched at uncomfortable level - this does not happen to me yet. It is easy to put on, and does not pressure my belly which is a plus. Overall I am happy with the product, but pricey for only 1 item.

I purchased several pants from Motherhood Maternity when I found out I was pregnant (ending the first trimester). Since it was my first pregnancy, I really wasn't sure if I should buy a small or a medium. Do I get fat everywhere? Is it only my belly that grows?I'm normally a medium in other brands, so I bought 2 medium petite and 2 small. I was able to fit comfortably (with ample room!) on the small when I was around 3-4 months pregnant. The medium was on the bigger side. All of them required additional support to stay up even with built-in panels, and that's when I decided to purchase the Bellaband. Initially, I had to fold the maternity panels in half then use this product over them because the panels were quite huge on my still-small belly. That didn't impede the functionality of the Bellaband though. The product definitely held up my maternity pants/jeggings, and even normal winter pants on. I followed the tag for washing it, and it still did its job without issues after.By the 5-6 month mark, the small pants were skin tight (like tight skinny jeans). Not uncomfortable, but I definitely got fat on my thighs and legs. Edema contributed a lot. The Bellaband allowed me to continue wearing the pants. Without it, I would have needed to readjust and lift the pants every 5 minutes. The medium pairs fit nicely, but they still would not have been held up by the built-in panel. The Bellaband was stretchier and thicker. In fact, I accidentally poked a hole on a pants panel when I was putting them on. Again, the Bellaband saved the day because it just covers up the ugly hole.In the end, I was also grateful that I only needed to wash this a few times throughout my pregnancy because the maternity pants panel were able to serve as a barrier between my lotioned-up skin and the product. Pairing this with the maternity pants was NOT a waste of money, in my opinion.Overall, I highly recommend this product. It can hold up all types of ill-fitting pants, hide flaws on the panels, and yet doesn't add to the mountain of laundry you have to do. You can reuse it again and again without soiling if paired with cheap maternity pants with built-in panels. My total cost for my maternity clothes were ~350 dollars. It includes 4 pairs of pants, 3 shorts, 1 dress, 1 top (I was able to use my regular t-shirts), 3 types of maternity belts (a smaller stretchy one for the 2nd trimester, a bigger one for the 3rd trimester and a vaginal support one for days with edema) and 12 pairs of compression socks, and, of course, the Bellaband.

This belly band is exceptional and completely worth it! The material is tight fitting yet stretchable enough for comfort and growth. I have only used it for about a month and the first thing I thought was why did I wait so long to get it?!Belly band holds up my pants perfectly. I am now about 22 weeks and can only fit in most of pants if i leave them unbutton and completely unzipped using the belly band. I purchased a Size 1 and my pre-pregnacy weight was 137lbs. I am 5'2" and have gained about 20 lbs and it fits very comfortably. The other feature I like is that its long enough to fold down or cover your entire belly. When I first got it I was folding it down. Now that my belly has popped out I actually like the feel of it covering my whole belly. It can reach the bottom line of my bralette. It also has a sticky like end on one end that use on the inside at the bottom so it doesnt roll up. It does work for the most part but in some situations the band will roll up due to how I sit and how much I move. It's still acceptable.I highly recommend this. I went with black which hides better than brighter colors under white shirts.

I picked the BellaBand after reading all the reviews for similar products on Amazon and without trying any others I would easily choose this brand again. I used the advise listed in other comments and got the size small in black (I wore size 4-6 pants pre-pregnancy). It's a little snug around the hips (I've always been pretty curvy), though I think that helps it stay put and might eventually keep the pants from sliding down, but as I get bigger I wonder if it will be uncomfortable or start to roll up when I sit. If/when I get another, I'll probably get a size up so I have the options, and also take the opportunity for another color! It also seems that the slightly tighter size holds the belly firmer, snugging it in a little and perhaps securing for exercise, though again might become a little too snug over time. There's a somewhat sticky band around the inside of what I hope is the "bottom" (no instructions included) that hugs the hips and keeps it in place, and the top is a stretchier material that you can wear up over your belly or fold down over your pants. Unless you're wearing a bulky or baggy shirt, I imagine you'd have to roll it down to hide the fact that your pants are undone, otherwise the bumps of the button, etc will likely show through a tight/thin shirt. When all is said and done, it looks like you're wearing a long layered undershirt. One minor complaint is it's very futzy when you have to use the bathroom (every 30-45 minutes). You flip it up out of the way, and then it's a total fuss to figure out which side is the bottom and then reconfigure the whole thing and your pants and everything. It's no big deal, but you need a little extra time to manage that and can be totally confusing depending on your current state of mind. :)I also wish they had more colors. Not to say they don't have a variety of colors, just not colors that work with my wardrobe. Why does no one make brown? What about green or purple? They're all black, white, grey, and for some reason, nude... Sort of a bummer there. All and all, though, it was a great recommendation and I'm glad I got it when I did - just in time (16 weeks)!!
