What can I really say it's a sock for your air filter does exactly what it says it does if you do run a low intake filter this is a must very happy with the purchase I would recommend

Driving a tuned GTI with an Integrated engineering Intake. This filter fits perfectly over it.Although I don't suffer from potential hydroplaning with a short ram intake in the engine bay, I've had cars spray up a mist of salt water on the highways. The mist ends up being sucked into the filter and leaves ton of salt stains on the filter. Having this hydro-shield over the filter ensures the salt water doesn't dry in the fins of the filter.Although it seems ridiculous to pay $30 for this simple filter, the tech in the filter provides amazing protection from water while letting in air without restriction. Your car will thank you.

About four years ago I installed an Ingen cold air intake, which I love. At the same time I got this cover for my filter, it has performed very well and kept my filter from getting wet. The cover did finally wear out (the elastic got loose and the cover kept coming off). So I got a new one and life is good again!

It works, just make sure to clean it once in a while and not have water splashed directly on it as it is not 100% waterproof.

blocks the water and even fits an air filter that isn't injen. I have a spectre bought from autozone and it fits perfectly and has helped during this crazy much over due southern California rain.

The hydroshield for the injen filter is very nice and actually is nicer looking than the picture advertised. The one i got actually has a rubber injen tag stitched on it which is way nicer looking than the white printed one it shows. Great product and showed up fast.

I bought this hydroshield for my injen X-1015 filter on my injen SP1873P intake and I must say it has been a life saver.I live in the Pacific Northwest where it rains a lot and although I did buy this at the start of summer (dry season), I did notice that normal dampness in the air overnight still dripped a bit of accumulated water from the body/frame onto the prefilter in the mornings. Had it not been for the prefilter, it definitely would have moistened the filter itself and with any (bad) luck could have sucked enough water to create a not-so-great day for me had I gone WOT right after starting the vehicle. The wet season has now started and I hear or feel no difference in performance to indicate something may be up with the filter, although I must say I have not opened up my wheel-well to see how wet it gets since I don't feel like rolling around on wet concrete... In any case, the filter is located in a relatively safe location behind one fog light in the bumper area and if the morning's serve as any indication as well as no problems in heavy rain and splashes, the hydroshield is doing a great job repelling water. Just don't go dunking your lowered ride in a 2 ft puddle!Definitely recommended.
