We use it to keep our well pump shed warm in the winter. Works well. Occasional issues connecting to WiFi, but nothing major.

This Inkbird 306T did what it was described to do. I got this for reptile and aquarium use because it has two outlets to run multiple aquarium heaters(stainless steel probe not recommended for salt) or reptile heating mats/light. The unit display size is perfect for me. I don’t have the best vision but I can read the red LCD numbers on this unit from 8 feet away. Once it’s plugged, I launched my Inkbird Pro app to add new device then follow the instructed prompts. My app found my Inkbird controller and was connected within a few minutes. This was like pressing “That was easy!” button. If this is your first time using the Inkbird app then it will take you a few minutes longer to get the device paired to the app. The controller settings can be adjusted thru the Inkbird Pro app or manually on the controller. There is a wifi light on the controller to let you know if it’s connected to the app online. Even if it’s not connected to the app, it’s not a problem, because the controller will still work without being online. Your settings on the controller are saved even during a power outage. I found this out bcuz I accidentally tripped my power strip and when I restored power I didn’t have to mess with my controller settings. Overall, the ITC306T delivered everything that was described and a great product. I’ve own several Inkbird controllers and they have been reliable.

I have 2 separate areas to review- first functionality and then how user friendly the thermostat is. i have been using the thermostat on a sterilite tub with an undertank heat mat attached to the bottom, a 28 quart, housing a juvenile hognose snake. i have 2 temp. reading devices; an infrared temp gun purchased on amazon, and a klein high temp laser/probe temp reader, both generally read within a degree of each other and seem quite accurate. the inkbird seems to have a quality probe that is easy to place, but would be nice if it was not permanently attached so that it could be run through a small diameter hole, or replaced if it fails. the +/- seems to stay well within the advertised 1 degree, which is not so easy with an on/off thermostat. i trust this thermostat and it works quite well with both racks and individual enclosures, the hognose was a recently acquired animal and he is doing great, eating just fine and happy in his environment. my only suggestion would be to make a similar unit that is proportional. as for how user friendly this device is- it could use a little improvement. especially in the wifi mode. setting the night drop mode and setting the different times is a bit complicated, as well as activating wifi mode. i think that that is a useful and good quality thermostat that is much better than anything else available in the price range. i especially appreciate the night drop feature, and i hope that inkbird develops a 2 or 4 probe version with night drop.

This is a big upgrade from my existing controller. It is important that your crabitat be a range of temperatures between 75F and 80F. Some species do enjoy it slightly warmer but this is the general range. This controller works as a thermostat for your heat pad. When the probe inside the tank reads the target temperature, the heat pad turns off until it is needed again. The ITC-306T-WIFI has an alarm feature also so you can set a high and low temperature to trigger an alarm. The unit also features a timer feature which I know would be helpful with other exotic pets. The dual outlet means you can control two heat sources. The InkBird Pro app allows you to program the unit from your phone and receive alarms and check heat levels at any time. The only things I would change for my personal use would be to make the power cord a bit longer and to add my range to the low temperature alarm setting. It starts at 58F and drops from there but in my use I would want to know if my tank dropped below 70F. UPDATE! I spoke to support and if you keep scrolling through all of the negative temperature value you will eventually get back to positive numbers and I was able to find 70F there! For some reason it just starts at 58F and you can't scroll up at that point.

Inkbird has yet again made another affordable and easy to use product. As a reptile owner I rely on thermostats heavily to keep my ball pythons in perfect conditions. This is works great! My rack has two 12” strips of heat tape and 2 4” strips of heat tape to keep my animals warm. I use this thermostat for the hot spot and belly heat for my reptiles. I like that it has two plugs so I can plug in two separate pieces of heat tape. I used my heat gun to make sure that both pieces of heat tape are accurate and they are. I was worried a bout only having one probe but it seems to be working out ok. I would recommend checking your temperatures every now and then to make sure both of your temps are even. I put my probe somewhere in the middle of the rack with a piece of aluminum tape and I was good to go. I also like that you can customize this thermostat from the app. I didn’t know what and set it up manual but I like that it’s so easy to use from the app as well. The app InkBird Pro is really easy to use and my device was set up and ready to go in seconds. I also like that I can check my temps wherever I go so I have peace of mind that my ball pythons are safe and the correct temperatures.
