The liquid mounting medium arrived as a solid! Highly disappointed considering that I neeed the product and had been waiting. I added Xylene to reconstitute it but that was anorher 2 days wasted! The coverslips were filthy and undersized! Cleaning them individually equals madness!

The synthetic balsam arrived with just a thin layer in the bottom of the bottle. It is thicker than honey and completely unusable. We had no xylene to reconstitute it. The other items are fine, but without the synthetic balsam, we were unable to complete our project. Extremely disappointed.

Precisely what I expected, performs as expected. Personally I prefer round cover glass slips to square ones for making permanent slides but no biggie. Very satisfied.

I am undecided.... keep in mind I am very much an amateur so most of the fault is mine. However, made a slide, put weight on the top of it to keep air out, and the balsam still wasn't dry overnight. I took the weight off and now I have air bubbles all over my specimens. I'm wondering if there is better media to use.
