Putting this together would be pretty straightforward but, unfortunately, the manufacturing of this is poor in that the holes where the screws would need to go are not predrilled, or even marked. I would try to return it, but the box basically says that once it’s opened, it’s not returnable. Don’t waste your money on this item.

Easy to put together except pilot holes didn’t match up on hinges. Not a big deal. Wish the overhang over the door were a big bigger to keep out rain better but better than nothing. Happy about the escape door and the fact that the house is heavy enough to not be bothered by strong winds. That’s really what I bought it for.

This cat house is really cool - looks just like a little house. Goes together easy - the roof hinge was a little tricky because the hardware was backwards but we just switched sides and moved the screw patch on the roof. The two exits are critical for any outdoor cat. The roof swings open for cleaning which is awesome. We put a self warming blanket inside for softness. The only problem we have is on us - our cat is too wide for the doors!!!

Easy to put together. Sturdy and insulated. Worth the price. Feral cats seem a little apprehensive. Door could be about 2” larger.

Watch what you get. 18x22 does not fit a male cat. It’s very small. Pictures are deceiving. The cats on pictures must be kittens. It’s very well made just very very small

I have 2 outside neighborhood strays who I care for as much as I can. This is a nice shelter for them, however it's a little smaller than what I was hoping for. 2 larger cats are really squeezed in. I also put straw inside for them to lay on and the doorway should be raised a little from the bottom so the straw doesn't continually come out when the cats exit the shelter. It seems to be well constructed, it came packaged very nicely and was super easy to put together. If you have 1 cat it's perfect. 2 chubby cats just don't quite fit. Also appreciated the company reaching out to me to see how I like their product.

This a great product, solid wood, great engineering as there are no gaps inside of the house to keep your feral kitty warm and dry. Also, instructions are clear, all materials are number marked, and you can put this together easily with an electric screwdriver in .30 minutes.I just need to teach my other feral kitty to use it now, but the house is great, and would highly recommend it, also the two story model is good too, I didn't need it, but there is a two story model available too.Thank you for making such a solid product that I can highly recommend. I give it 5 stars for construction, quality and ease of assembly.

Assembly: This little house was easy to assemble except for one confusion, which I finally figured out. I put it together in about 15 minutes, but couldn't figure out the very stiff support hinge piece at first, but now I have. The documentation needs to be clearer on this last step of installation. There was an odor when I first took it out of the delivery box, which I finally decided might be a cedar scent. The smell has almost completely vanished after a couple days in the outside air.Aesthetics: So so incredibly cute!!Functionality: Easy open top lid for regular cleaning - love it. The escape door on the side works well, (essential for kitties to be able to escape a predator entering the other door). I am leaving the plastic stripping off the front door at first - cats need to get used to those strips. After they have begun to use the house without the plastic strips, I will install that piece over the front doorway but drop down only one piece of plastic at a time, over time, to ease the kitties gradually into the full plastic strip doorway.Outside placement: I put the house under an eave and higher up on bricks to keep it a little safer from the elements. I also sprinkled catnip on the inside before tucking a nice bedding of fresh straw inside. (Straw is much safer and comfortable for the cats than cloth.)Customer Service: Ketive reached out to me to let me know the delivery would be delayed, and continued to correspond back and forth with me, very helpfully, until the house was delivered and fully assembled.Kitty Reviews: My shelter has been outside for just a couple days so it's too soon to share my community cats' reviews. I have a good feeling though!
