These tiles are made of a soft PVC material that is flexible and absorbs bounces. They fit together tight and even. Right now, using these for a outside doormat to keep the flooring dryer that would be with a cloth type doormat. I prefer these to the stiff hard plastic tiles as they are much softer and stay together.

I have a bunch of these, in various colors, which I have in my workout room, under and around my power rack, and for that they are just excellent. If you work out with weights, these make an excellent absorption pad for the weights to land on. More rubbery than some others tiles that I have seen and used, these are soft on the feet, but quite tough otherwise and should last a lifetime.
