I installed one in a small bathroom and one in a shower and toilet area in the on-suite. Adjustment on the time was tricky to get set as the range is from 15 second to 30 minutes. Once established they are both working well. would recommend these switches.

Purchased for our garage and works great. Was easy to install and has a large sensor area for activation.

I replaced a similar motion-sensor switch I had in my garage for years that finally failed. This one was an easy install; luckily I had all 4 wires present in my outlet box. After the obvious wiring it up, it was also easy to configure the timing/distance/lighting with a small flat head screwdriver.I've only used this Intermatic iOS-DSIF-WH model for a few days now but it's working perfectly and seems to be of good/standard quality.

Works great with LED tube bulbs similar to the florescent bulbs. Specifically, it works great with LIFEbulb LED T8 tubed and fixtures.

I've owned several motion switches over the years, and this particular one is by far the best I've tried. Very long range and works well for years, and you can fine tune it's time on and sensitivity to your preference. I have one wired to turn on one set of bay lights anytime I walk into the 40x60 open part of my shop using any exterior door. In that installation, I wired it to fire a separate 20A relay because the bay lights switched draw about 6.7A, which would overload (or at least shorten the life of) the internal relay in this unit. I have another identical unit (although it carries a different name brand, Topgreener TSOS5) in my kitchen at home that turns on the over-the-sink light as soon as I walk into the kitchen, and stays on as long as I'm in the room. I can't imagine life without these little jewels; they are really convenient. The reason I like them so much is that neither my shop or kitchen wall switch locations are optimal, and without these I'd be fumbling in the dark when entering until I found the light switch. This one and the Topgreener obviously come from the same factory; other than the brand label you can't tell them apart and they both work flawlessly. For those of you who are energy misers, these draw about 4 watts each 24/7, whether the output is on or off. That's about .1KWH per day or 3KWH per month, which costs me about 42 cents a month where I live. BUT they're running lights that would be on a lot more for convenience if I didn't have motion sensors installed, so I'm saving money by having them. Before I had these, I left the sink light on all the time. A neutral wire is required when installing these, which could be a problem for installations that don't have a neutral in the switch box.Helpful hint: if you want this unit to "ignore" certain areas within it's sensing range, you can block off a portion of the lens with white electrical tape. It takes a little trial and error but it's easy to do if you so choose. I have my shop one set up to ignore my movement when I cut across one side of my shop from my office to my work room. If I want the lights on, I just deviate a foot or so off that path and they come on immediately.

Bought a 10 Watt LED light for crawl space. Bought Intermatic because of 15 second turn off. Tried both switches I ordered and neither turned on light when entering crawl space. Both worked in manual mode. Moved Intermatic to closet with flourescent bulb and it worked fine. Box stipulates incandescent and flourescent. Amazon site adds that it works on LED which is false for model IOS-DSIF-WH

The best motion sensor switch I have used. Better than the Leviton or Legrand ones I tried. Fine grained adjustability because of the dial adjusters for light, motion, and time.Installed in a windowless garage with the switches mounted 6.5ft off the ground for flood reasons makes reaching up high a manual switch annoying every time you walk in. The light always gets left on overnight as a result. The Leviton switch is not very sensitive. I have to wave my arms to get it to pick me up, and it would turn off if I was working under a vehicle. Same with the Legrand one, but it was even more unpredictableThis one has an off-auto-on 3 way switch which is fantastic. Stays on auto most of the time and if I am working on a project I can just flip it to "on" and it stays on. The motion sensitivity is way better than the other two I tried, and since I don't have windows in the garage, I have no use for the photo (light) sensor or the off switch, but it would be nice to have for other rooms.I was nervous that it wouldn't work with my LED retrofitted T12 (fluorescent) lights, but they work just fine. No humming, noise, flickering, and the switch stays cool after extended runtime (160w load, all LED direct-wire bulbs)The only slight negative is it doesn't fit in a standard square electrical box without trimming the bracket, and I can't get the front adjustment panel off without unscrewing the faceplate. I might actually just cut the little clips off the adjustment cover and use double sided tape instead, but once I get the settings dialed in I doubt i will ever touch it again.5/5 stars, will buy more of these when I need them!

We bought this one to replace the Heath Zenith SL-6107-WH Motion Activated Wall Switch. The Heath Zenith one didn't always turn on when we entered the garage. The Intermatic one definitely senses us, though with all motion activated wall switches, there is a slight delay before the light goes on. This even happens with the higher end Lutron switches that don't have a manual override. Anyhow, the reason we use this is because it has an obvious override button that is handy if you are going to work under your car or in a spot in your garage where it can't sense you. We haven't had any problems with it being on too long after we park the car or with the 50 degrees it gets in the garage. I'll keep an eye on it, and if it has any problems, I'll come back on here to update.
