This worked great formy above ground pool. 15x29 size. I use the stocking nets for the basket, it gets nasty with oils and crud so I toss it out and put in a new one. I used to have a ton of knots around the ring of the pool. No more gnats!

Easy installation, and easy to clean out debris.The skimmer does a decent job skimming the pool with the small filter pump that came with the pool.The only problem I have is that the floating chlorine dispenser will get trapped between the skimmer and the pool wall.The skimmer kit comes with the adapter needed to attach a vacuum hose.

This makes such a difference to debris collection for our new pool. We have an Intex 12 x 24 pool. The included filter works fine, but during our first two weeks of having the pool up and running, I was constantly skimming little beetles off the surface before anyone could get in. After installing this basket skimmer, I barely use the pole mounted leaf skimmer. This collects soo much debris from the surface. Highly recommend for any Intex pool.

I love the item except that no matter how much I tighten the adjustable mounting brackets, it comes loose. I even added several bungee cords around the piece that goes down into the basket and over the edge of the pool and then around the pole on the outside of the pool. No matter how many cords I attached, I would come back out a few days later and find that the basket skimmer had slid up above the level of the surface of the water and was sucking in air to my sand pump (which is NOT good for the pump. I found myself so nervous about this skimmer that I started detaching it whenever I was not using the pool, which kind of defeats the purpose of having it. Btw... my pool edge (side) is supposed to be compatible with this Intex skimmer.

It's just as pictured and VERY easy to install!! Just put it in where the water comes out, and you're good to go!! Sucks the water out and into the filter, and catches all the nasty bugs etc what might get into the water!! Then just pull out the basket and dump! LOVE it! Makes it SOO much easier and cleaner!!! HIGHLY recommend!! And for the price, VERY REASONABLE, it's MUST have for an above ground pool! Comes with everything you need to get it up and running too! Fits great with the existing stuff on out Intex 18' round 52" high above ground pool! GREAT addition to our summer fun!! A+!
