I modified my ipod back In 2021. Replaced the HHD and battery. This was the one I got, now is 2025 and the battery rapidly loses power even after being fully charge. The original battery lasted 15 years with a HHD. THE BATTERY WILL NOT LAST EVEN WITH A MICRO SD CARD INSTALL. IF YOU are looking for a replacement battery DONT BUY THIS BRAND.

Got this for a very old ipod. Watched a YouTube video and was easy to replace. Now the ipod works like new. It holds a charge just like the original. I would buy this again!

Trying to leave it for a few days to see how the change holds up from first initial full charge. Needed to add folded paper to connector for it to snugly lock in (make sure it's on the opposite side from metal side of tape to avoid blocking electrical circuit).Will update if problems arise.Update: Not sure how long the original used to last when new, but it has gone down to low charge now 3 days later, July 18th, without using it, just letting it sit idle. Will update again after further testing.

This worked out great in my iPod 5th gen. As long as you have the proper tools, and watch a short YouTube video, it takes about 10 minutes to finish the job. After installing, I charged the battery to full and it works great.

This battery fits well in my Ipod classic 6th generation.I tried a higher capacity battery that claimed to fit my Ipod.It did not fit.I am quite happy with this battery.
