The incredibly soft and grippy Gekkota rubber compound grips when other tires slip. IRC developed the gummy GEKKOTA compound with top pro enduro riders to enhance high speed cornering performance and durability. The compound acts as a suspension component within the tire. Proper rigidity of the sidewall with the gummy compound provides extra bump absorption performance. The tall blocks are designed to provide a larger contact patch and also flexibility for maximum traction no matter the conditions.

You probably already know this is a great trail tire. I use it to race XC races and enjoy it very much. Not a bad price either. Pretty durable but will burn up on hard pack.

競技タイヤはいつもこれです。ゲレンデ系レースでしたが、いつも履き慣れたVE33s GEKKOTAで出場しました。空気圧0.3まで落とすと、グリップする力がもう一段階増します。移動のためアスファルトの上で乗って、ブレーキをかけるとブロックが千切れそうになっていました。山専用ですね

セロー225でクロスカントリーレース（WEX）で1年間使いました。マディやフカフカ腐葉土のウッズの登りでは流石に目が詰まって苦戦します。それ以外はほぼオールマイティでした。無印VE33も乗りましたが、空気圧0.6〜1.0位で使ってる分にはあまり差を感じません。やはり0.5以下かから本領発揮するのかもしれません。ただ、アスファルトで一度走ったらサイドのブロックの端が千切れたのであっという間にダメになりそう。無印はオンでも違和感なく走れるので林道派なら無印が良いですね。
