These scissors feel very solid in the hand. There is no looseness to the joint and the scissors move as smoothly as you would expect any pair of scissors to operate. They were reasonably sharp right out of the package and some to a very sharp point at the end. The fingerholds are solid and as comfortable as you would expect. They do not have the shiny, polished look of stainless steel you would expect of a pair of medical scissors, so I'm rating them 4 stars for that reason. They feel a little rough to the touch, like a satin finish or a brushed metal finish. Strange for their intended purpose as I would think you would want them completely smooth for ease of sanitization.

For the price these are a very good instrument. I don't have any of the normal requirements these scissors are used for but they are very sharp and with a very fine point should perform as required. I build plastic model airplane kits and need to cut out the decals from the sheet. Need to trim closely to eliminate extra film on the decal. This requires a very fine tip and a short length to work around tight corners etc. Have a pair similar to these that are decades old and getting dull. These are sharp and work extremely well for my requirement. As indicated they are nice and sharp. The handle fits in my hand very well and allows me to maneuver around the decals very well. Also easy to open and close while in use which allows for more precision in cutting. Like I said not a normal use of this item but they work extremely well for my application.

Right out of the box, I could tell that these scissors were well made. I was very impressed by the quality of workmanship and tight tolerances with high-grade stainless steel used throughout. I also like the fact that they were shipped with a clear silicone rubber boot over the tip for safety. I especially appreciate that the straight-slot head of the bolt is not only completely flush with the surface, but also that the shaft terminates before reaching the surface on the other half. One cost savings measure that I see on cheap scissors is when they drill the hole all the way through both halves, which allows for intrusion.Another feature I absolutely love is the extended length and asymmetrical design. The extended reach this provides is very useful and having the pivot so close to the cutting edge really allows for close in work. The cutting edge is extremely sharp, and when combined with the extreme taper of the point, gives it a ton of precision. Then, when you add to that the built-in curve, making tiny cuts close to a surface is a breeze. I have been wanting a pair of scissors for close-in precise work for some time, and this tool totally fits the bill. All in all, I absolutely love these scissors.

These have a very tiny adjustment screw which requires something on the order of an eyeglasses screwdriver to tighten. The ones I received have a bit of loose play at the pivot screw. They're very sharp and cut most things very well. They look as if they'd be excellent for jobs like removing stitches due to their very sharp point which also cuts well right to that tiny tip.Oddly, they actually don't work so well for cutting things such as fingernails! This is only because as you squeeze them together on a nail they often seem to want to slip backwards away from the nail. I can only "assume" this is due to no serrations on either blade edge. They're ok though, and seem correctly priced at around $6.99 at time of this review (March 2025).I have used better ones before, though much more expensive, from long-time household names in things like nail care.I don't believe I'd want to use these repeatedly for getting at things like say an ingrown toenail though, because of the tendency to "back out" as said above. They're okay for what they are and at this price. However, I think I'd rather pay only once for a higher quality name brand one available from many U.S. drug stores. These cost significantly less though and so, have their place. They're just not quite as good on thick or tough materials such as human nails.Anything less demanding they'd likely work just fine with though. However, you might also want to tighten up the pivot screw a tad too. They'll work, for $6.99 though.

These are a nice pair of scissors that are will made and surprisingly have a good tight precision cutting feel.A great finger feel for my male fingers and sharp enough to cut cleanly. This is NOT a cheap China based product; noting that when I saw it was made in Pakistan, it motivated me to try it based on previous experiences with similar items. Glad I found these for a very good price.

I picked up these small, 4.5-inch straight scissors. They're listed as medical or dissecting scissors, but I actually got them for fine detail work, specifically for trimming my cuticles, and they work great for that. The design is exactly what you'd expect – small, stainless steel, with very fine, sharp points. They feel well-made and sturdy. The hinge action is smooth.Because they are so sharp and pointed, they allow for incredibly precise cutting. They make it easy to trim exactly what you want, cleanly and accurately. The small size makes them easy to handle and control for delicate tasks. I imagine they'd be good for any job needing extremely fine cuts. You do need to be careful with them because the tips are very sharp. But for detailed grooming like dealing with cuticles, they are far better than regular nail scissors. They provide the precision needed for a neat job.Five stars. They might be meant for medical use, but they are perfect for the detailed grooming I needed them for here in Lilburn. Excellent quality and precision.

These scissors are properly aligned, sharp, and cut cleanly. No pinch points, easy to use.The finish is matte, and might be an issue in an environment where they need to be disinfected. I just wiped it off with an 70% alcohol pad.Recommended.
