Constant communication between transmitter & receiver, versatile mounting options, signal strength indicator & Smart Bypass for easy system override.

My original rain sensor was installed in 2002. Over the years the cork became hard and wouldn’t absorb rain water. Before installing the new sensor we took photos of the existing wiring. Last week we had a significant rain and the sensor worked and shut off the sprinkler system.

Got this mainly for the new transmitter to work with my existing receiver (same model). Works great. Batteries were tested first with full power. Was easy to sync with my receiver in minutes. Mounted on the fence, already started raining here and works great. As long as the unit is wet (cardboard like material inside) the button stays down and tells the equipment to stay off until that button is lifted/dry. If your sprinkler system is not responding to the rain sensor even if the rain receiver shows a green signal and red rain light and you believe everything is wired and installed correctly, then make sure your main sprinkler system unit sensor 'bypass switch' is disabled.

Works great. Arrived one week earlier than expected using free shipping. Installed as a replacement in less than 5 minutes. So far, has worked flawlessly.

This purchase was a replacement for the same sensor that stopped working (as far as I can tell) after 6 years in the hot Florida summer sun. The new one was easy to install by following the included instructions. The inside unit had to be wired into the irrigation control panel. That was easy as long as I labeled each wire I removed from the old sensor to the connection in the panel so that the new sensor wires (same colors) would be attached to the correct place in the control panel. The outside unit was a cinch to install by just attaching it to the gutter. The inside and outside units communicated and connected on the first try and the irrigation control panel recognized the sensor as well (I guess I got all the wires attached correctly).

Instructions very clear, up and running in no time. Highly recommend to anyone who needs a solid rain sensor for their irrigation system.
