IRWIN SCREW-GRIP Impact Performance Series Extractors feature DoubleClick Technology ensuring both ends lock so a single bit drills and extracts to easily remove stripped or damaged screws and small bolts. They're manufactured with M2 high speed steel and are extra-hardened for maximum durability and long life with impact tools. The tip of the drill end is designed to start fast, with minimal walking and the tip of the extractor end is serrated for increased torque to easily remove even the toughest bolts and screws. I love this but I suggest if the screw is old or rusty just use the screw extractor and don’t try to use Philip bit first

Have many Irwin products and those live up to the name. Saw them tested online and, of course, the name is what sold it. Glad I didn't buy the set. Right out the gate, used it to try and take a stripped deck screw from wood. Failed miserably. This ended up in the trash next to my broken deck screw.

The Erwin bits are the best for removing those stripped out screws. I purchased another product that was cheaper and now they are in the trash. You will be happy and not disappointed you bought these bits, they work great.

MUCH better than any other brand I tried. But, at $10 each, they do break. I snapped 3 drill ends off. It takes a lighter touch than you might think. And, if after you do the drilling, if you bend or angle your drill as you pull the bit out, that's when it snaps off. So, go slow, and pull back straight up to get the drill end out of your bad screw.

I am an aviation mechanic and I've used many brands of removal bits and the aviation fasteners have some exotic metals and this one holds up really well the only problem I have is the other mechanics borrowing it and not returning it

Definitely recommend I took off the Leading Edge of a horizontal stabilizer on a falcon 20 and over 200 screws and still going so I definitely recommend this tool to Aviation mechanics.
