I have a cabinet shop where I manufacture and install cabinetry in high dollar homes. As a result of my cabinet designs, at times I have to get into very tight places to fasten cabinets to either floors or walls. This tool is a life saver and I have purchased several! It enables me to reach very places that are either very tight or hard to reach.Pros:- They are made of solid metal and therefore will not bend or break.-Stability. They are very stable when connected to each other. Many competitors that manufacture similar products use a snap closure and when using multiple ones to reach further, and these can sometimes come undone and separate. These are not that way. They attach to each other by tightening two sets screws against the one it connects to, providing a very stable and strong connection.-They are extremely easy to use! Just insert the one end into your power drill and to connect more, just insert the next one in and tighten the set screws with an allen wrench.-The magnets add even more stability!-The value for the money is undeniable. Will definately purchase again if I need more!Cons-None that I have found.

This is for hex bits. These are available locally anywhere, I was specifically looking for a 1/4” round to get an extension for my die grinder and this will not work

I use this for sanding wheels with a 1/4" shank. As others have mentioned, the 1/4" shank will always be a bit off center causing the shaft to bounce. I have reduced that effect by adding a small section of pvc pipe over the shaft to act as a stabilizing handle. It also provides more down force on the head. The set screws and threads are strong enough to handle the work for a long time.

The head is hex shape, whereas the description says it accepts any wood bit with a round 1/4" shank. It will hold a round bit, but not very tightly. This is really meant for bits with a hex shank.

I purchased two of these 12" long, 1/4" hex drive extensions to drill through a subfloor & wall sill. I needed to reach through a 18" floor truss space before drilling a hole with a 3/4" spoon bit into the wall cavity. The double hex set screws held the two extensions & drill bit together without any issues. The extensions are made well and should last me forever.

This product work great for me. I had a job to bore a hole 9" and the bore I had would only do 6". With this speedbor I complete my task in less than 10 minutes. The double allen screws hold perfect.

I assumed that the two screws were to tighten a regular drill bit. But, this tool is just for hex drill bits. I don't have many of these so I have yet to use it, and probably won't much in the future.Update 2/16/14: Used this today with a drill bit that fit it and it sure helped. Glad I had this tool available.

This is a 1/4" hex x 12" bit extension for that extra reach boring holes through thick wood beams and such. Makes my job as an electrician just a little easier! Just insert your bit and tighten the set screws and your ready to go. It's priced right and works great, if it broke tomorrow I'd order another one from amazon.
