Lots saying losses programming and is finiky.....It's $25! With some patience all the user error can be ironed out and will operate perfectly. I won 1st place in my states biggest sorrca competition last year with this ESC in my class 1 comp rig and no bec. Just set the internal Bec to 7.5 and ran the steering and winch directly from it with no issues. Using a 540 old school Holmes hobbies torque master. So smooth.

I have a bunch of RC cars running these ESC''s, I love using the app to set them up and tune the curves. I run all kinds of tamiya brushed motors on these, from superstock RZ, BZ and TZ. Also Sport Tuned and stock silver can. I noticed on the monster truck (tamiya blackfoot ) and the 4wd buggies, If I set launch power to max and floor it from a stand still, the ESC resets and beeps like it reboots. I resolved this using huge external capacitors. Without the capacitor, I have to lower the start power but you will notice the difference. Otherwise I really enjoy these ESCs. I would of given 5 starts if it wasn't for the capacitor requirement.

Advertise as waterproof, that's the only reason I bought this, went in water once, didn't even go over tires, my redcat has fender liners, esc failed I had to carry the rig out.One other guy had same ESC and his also failed after being in the water but his was submerged

Neat little esc. I’ve been in the hobby a hood long while and generally my go to for a lightweight brushed rig like a Tamiya or most crawlers is the Hobbywing 1060 or 1080. Those are fantastic ESC’s but I snagged one of these to try on my sons Stampede since the stock esc burnt out (because that’s what the xl5 does haha)Anyway this thing is great. Forces you to do a throttle calibration first time you start up which is smart as people always forget to do this. The app worked flawlessly for me and made making adjustments easy peasy. I’ve got another now going to try on a small crawler! I think this might be my go to brushed esc. OH it even has an adjustable BEC!Things to note:- the esc comes with no ends on the wires so you’ll need a battery connector of your choice and some soldering done. It DOES come with ends for the motor side that should fit most brushed motors. Also comes with heat shrink.- the cable for esc to receiver is very short. This is probably fine most of the time because they generally are close together but you might need a longer one. Something I LOVE is that you can use any rx 3 wire with two female ends so it lets you pick an appropriate length and keep the wiring clean.- you’ll probably want to grab some servo tape to attach it.Will review down the road if anything changes but a few packs through and zero issues.

I've just bought my second one of these to add to another truck. Only issue I've had is everytime I first plug it in, it flashes red on the button. But I just unplug it and replug it in and it works fine. App has always connected and worked for me. Ran one crawling for 4+ hrs with not a single glitch. 1 truck I'm running a stock 540 type motor, the other is running 2 380 type motors.

I read the reviews. I thought I would get through the issues without much trouble. This is the most finicky esc I have ever messed with. Do not buy this. Buy the Hobbywing 1060 or 1080 and be happy.

I have read on this item for awhile now just to see what is so good about it. I have come to a conclusion it is not good. 1. Sometimes you have to reset two or three items 2. It just randomly stops while you out crawling and then starts back up 3. Sometimes the app gets stuck and then you have to force close the app I would say every third time. 4. If servo does not have end points set and you turn it all the way one way the truck will completely stop and beep twice and then start working again. I know this is a new item just coming out but everything should work, I should not have to wait for new software to come out just for it to do what it says it can do. Just wait for a year or so and then go back to this. UNTIL THEN 1 0 8 0 IS THE ONLY ESC TO GET.

I’ve had this a little over a month now and decided it’s not worth it. 2 runs and the Bluetooth button stopped working. In the ad is says to contact if an issue happens with the button. I did and they got me one fast. Impressed with that. Run number 4 it’s lost all programming. So when home I rest everything and tested again an hour later. Everything seemed fine. Took it out the next day and everything gone again. Radio system is Spektrum and steering servo is hitec so no issues from those. Also I noticed it doesn’t have the punch it should for a 70 amp esc nor does it give full power at the top end. Biggest draw to this for me was being able to set throttle curves without Castle prices. The one thing the 1080 from hobbywing is missing. Hopefully this company has a version two some day that is a little bit more reliable.
