If you use the whipper to make infusions and flavor extractions rarely you probably don't need this. If you do it regularly you will want it. The nozzle and screen make the process just a little easier and more foolproof. There is less chance of clogging and less need to invert the unit unsettling the solids. Is the price worth the time saved over time? That's a personal judgement call

Kann die negativen Bewertungen nur sehr eingeschränkt nachvollziehen. Alles ist blitzschnell zusammengebaut. Die Reinigung finde ich auch unproblematisch. Dass die alte Technik - vermischen und stehenlassen, evtl zuvor noch erhitzen und/oder zerkleinern - häufig zu vergleichbaren und vielleicht manchmal sogar besseren Ergebnissen führt, ist hingegen wohl richtig. allerdings habe ich nicht immer so viel Planungsvorlauf, mag es nicht wenn Sachen herumstehen, man sich um Eingelegtes regelmäßig kümmern muss (zB Salzzitronen umschichten) und man ständig nach Schimmel o. Ä. schauen muss (vor allem, wenn man nicht in Öl oder Alkohol einlegt). So kann man viel spontaner kochen. Sogar ein spontaner Versuch ohne Rezept (Grapefruitstücke mit Schale in einer Salz-Zucker-Lösung, nur fünf Minuten Einwirkzeit, wie immer, wenn der Feststoff weiterverwendet werden soll und die Flüssigkeit eher Nebenprodukt ist) hat gut funktioniert. Auf der Herstellerhomepage gibt es ein PDF mit Rezepten, die sind eine gute Grundlage für eigene Improvisationen. Was man bedenken muss, ist, dass die Wirkung vom Druck und damit vom Füllstand abhängt. In den Rezepten wird die Flasche immer auf Maximum aufgefüllt. Je nach verwendetem Feststoff braucht man also beim üblichen 0,5-Liter-Gerät ordentliche Mengen der nicht immer billigen Flüssigkeiten und muss dann für diese auch wieder Verwendung haben, wenn man nicht wieder Fläschchen rumstehen haben will. Aber das ist nicht die "Schuld" des Produkts, es funktioniert laut Hersteller ebenso so gut mit dem 0,25-Gourmet-Whip. Also, für mich ist das eine geniale Erfindung, die fünf Sterne verdient hat. Dass jemand damit nichts anzufangen weiß oder dass jemand das Produkt für ein überflüssiges Gadget hält, kann ich gleichwohl verstehen, da die Ansprüche und Neigungen einfach unterschiedlich sind.

I bought this to use with my ISI Gourmet whipping siphon to make bitters. I've used it once and like the whipping siphon these are pro quality culinary tools. The nozzle is made of high quality stainless and has a solid, sturdy feel.Perfect compliment to my ISI Gourmet.

Not the most essential accessory as you can create infusions without this kit. That said, it's worth the price of entry and performs as claimed.
