I ordered this product because I use a large amount of Isopropyl Alcohol for cleaning electronics and other household uses. This is a high quality "made in the USA" product. There's a nice safety peel sticker on the top of the jug and a kid-safe lid. There's First Aid information on the container, which is BPA free and made of 25% recycled plastic. The ingredients show that Isopropyl Alcohol and de-ionized water. 70% is generally the best for cleaning as the water reduces the evaporation time and modifies the surface tension such that it flows better. I will definitely be ordering from this brand, Chemwell, again in the future.

Not an especially unique product, but a product that I love, nonetheless. Back before any type of gel sanitizers were known to me, when visiting hospitals and nursing homes, I ALWAYS carried a small bottle of isopropyl alcohol in the console of my car, and a smaller spray bottle of liquid alcohol in my pocket.I have always had a proclivity for contracting sinus infections, often lasting for weeks and frequently taking 2-3 rounds of antibiotics and felt that carrying alcohol with me reduced the likelihood for me to end up inadvertently getting my hands near my face and nose subsequent to touching elevator buttons, bannisters, and shaking hands with people.In my view, this has been a saving factor. That was back before anyone other than Doctors seemed to be masking up. Since Covid, when in public areas, I still mask up and I remain fervent in masking up and carrying and using this type of alcohol for use on my hands. I still use alcohol on paper towels to sanitize doorknobs inside and outside my home, and to sanitize light switches. I am not Adrain Monk in my obsession but try to do this about once per week. I largely credit this protocol with having enabled me to have now gone a full four years, going on five, without so much as one sinus infection. When just a few years ago I averaged a minimum of 2 sinus infections per year. I realize that this could sound a bit over the top, however I do have comorbidities that I am trying to overcome, so I am a definite fan of isopropyl alcohol of this type. For most hard surfaces, I use alcohol for cleaning, degreasing, and disinfecting. The only surfaces I do not use it on are my oak floors, and my oak bannisters, for fear of damaging the finish.In my estimation it is a far better and more convenient option to get my alcohol like this, in one container, rather than purchasing it in several containers. Collectively, I am not certain whether this is an environmental gain getting the product in a one-gallon container, as opposed to utilizing several quarts, but it is definitely more convenient and takes up less storage area. I would definitely give my full recommendation for this product. I also recommend its use for health reasons. A definite recommend from me!

Normally I'd buy 4x 32 oz bottles of equate brand 70% rubbing alcohol for just under 3 bucks a bottle. That gets me 4 x 32 or 128oz for just under 12 bucks in smaller packaged sizes. I'm not sure how I feel about the EXACT same product (I mean, 70% rubbing alcohol is 70% rubbing alcohol, people) being double the cost, but it is what it claims to be and it works well. I go through tons of it in a ultrasonic cleaner that I dip circuit boards in, so seeing this on here was attractive. Just...again, not sure I'd come back for full price given what I normally pay for equate.

This is like the most boring thing a person can review, so I'll try to make it less boring. Did you know 70% alcohol disinfects better than any other concentration, including 91% and 99% (and is cheaper too)? And did you know it doesn't corrode spray bottle spring mechanisms, unlike bleach? And did you know you can erase Sharpies with it? And did you know you can REFILL Sharpies with it? Seriously, there are YouTube tutorials. You're welcome.Anyway, we have a confused senior puppy, so we go through a LOT of disinfectant. I love 70% alcohol because it doesn't destroy spray bottles, doesn't bleach fabrics, and the smell doesn’t linger. The jug also lists the many other uses of this unassuming liquid. It's so useful that I keep one spray bottle on each floor of the house, plus one in my shop for degreasing, erasing Sharpie labels and so on. I also use it to moisten wipes for cleaning things that can't get wet, like cast iron pans before seasoning. So it's good to have a whole gallon of it lying around.It does cost twice as much as my local "everything store" which rhymes with Shmalmart. A gallon of 70% isopropyl alcohol is only $12 there.
