Once the clamp got down close to 8mm it would not tighten anymore, but the screw drive just slips in the groves and pops back to the prior on.Maybe OK for 12mm, but it is supposed to work at 6mm but would not work even at 8mm

Like I said some of them you’ll tighten and it’ll just keep spinning without getting tight but most of them work really well for the most part and can get them pretty tight. I use them on my cooling system and some of my PCV hoses and haven’t had a leak so far. I would buy again, I just like that they are black and seamless in the engine bay.
