Hard, thick felt soles provide traction on jagged, slippery coastal reefs and ensure a good grip for clambering up slick boat ladders. Toe and heel caps provide extra reinforcement, thickness and protection in high-wear areas prone to abrasion. Heavy duty #10 YKK zippers are built to last. These rugged boots are a great choice for diving, spear fishing or surf fishing.

Made in Taiwan, which was a pleasant surprise. I've used them about 10 times since purchase a month ago for summer fly fishing- wet wading cold tailwaters.Dinged them a star because they run too large in terms of volume, not length. If you have wide/huge feet you'll be better off. I had to use non absorbent insoles from some other old footwear, plus neoprene socks...... I'm a street shoe 10 and that's what I ordered.Good quality oversized zippers, and no sign of felt coming unglued yet. You'll feel the rocks but that was expected. Decent traction.

I have felt bottom fishing boots but was looking for a light weight option for summer wading in slippery/rocky rivers. The plan was good but these boots need two improvements. 1) These boots need a stiffer insole to prevent sore feet. The soft bottom doesn't provide much protection from pointy rocks. 2) The top of the boots should have a Velcro strap or something similar to close the gap which allows sand and rocks from filling up the boots and making walking even more painful.I have tried putting rubber bands around the top of the boots to help prevent them from filling with sand and gravel. The rubber bands help some but are not fully effective.I will try inserting stiff insoles to strengthen the bottoms and prevent pain from sharp rocks.I haven't found a better alternative with a felt bottom so recommend these boots with the above suggestions.

Bought these to use on the lava rocks in Hawaii. Needed a great grip to fish from the shore and worked great. I will up date my review after using the boots in the next month. But so far they are fantastic!

These are not that great for me for walking long distances if you have wimpy feet like me. Otherwise, they are awesome. I typically have to walk a ways to my water. Get a pair of watersocks to go with them! Great in water and did ok walking on a 2 mile jaunt on asphalt.

Easy to put on and wear. Felt sole a good thickness. Not a lot of ankle support but they serve the purpose for easy wading areas. Think I’ll get another pair.

I bought these to see how they would compare to my big bulky Korkers wading boots, and I love 'em. The felt sole is the same on slippery rocks, and to me they feel lighter and better in every way. The only possible drawback is that you will feel the rocks more than with the thicker (and much more expensive) wading boot, but that doesn't bother me. Go for it..........

Fits as expected, work great, use them trout fishing in Cherokee NC (rocky terrain) and had no problems except they don’t offer much ankle support
