After reading some of the negative reviews I was a little reluctant to purchase this item. However, I had a request from a friend to transfer slides to DVD and I didn't want to invest too much money in something I don't get many requests for. I mainly do video transfers. But I thought why not? First off I use Windows XP for all transfers to computer and then use Windows 10 for the render and finalization. So I haven't tried using this for any other operating system except Windows XP. That being said it worked like a charm. The only thing you must keep in mind as I found out the hard way, don't rush the job on slides. I did and the device didn't capture a single one of my 185 slides. I was moving the manual slider too quickly before the device could save the image to the computer hard drive. So I started over and spent at least another hour of my time capturing the 185 slides I needed to do the job. Other than that this thing works splendidly for a $32 device. Remember, there is no viewer on the device itself. If you want a viewer then spend upwards of $60 to maybe $150 for a top notch device. But if you're like me, someone who only gets a request occasionally for slide production then go with this machine. You won't be disappointed.

Be aware that ITNS apparently is dumping its older units onto the market.. I have to admit that the item description includes an operating systems compatibility statement -- won't work beyond WIN 7. However, I do have an ITNS-500 that I bought awhile back that works just fine on my WIN 10 system. I invested $30 in another one because I lost some of the accessories. My PC will not recognize the one I just received, but the first one I bought still works fine. Shame on this company for not developing newer software to keep their product compatible with newer operating systems.

For the price it is good. It is finicky with my Windows 10 PC but works well with my Windows 7 laptop. Occasionally have to reboot. But to have the option of slides, negatives AND photo scanning at this price is good.

I used it on an loder windows 7 laptop. It worked fairly well for 35mm slides.I had trouble getting a perfectly clean scan, but the slides were 50+ years old.

La resolución de las fotos es pésima. Quedan muy oscuras y no hay forma de graduar la luz interna del aparato.

I am returning this item. 1. The software is confusing and incomplete. 2. The scanning process produces a very grainy and, consequently, unsatisfactory image. 3. The process for storing and then retrieving the image is extremely confusing. I was never able to scan and store a satisfactory image.

Set up was easy, resolution is good, it's light, only needs usb (no power cord needed). It's very functional.

Awful, and not at all what I expected. The scanner made for older computers, I think that it only works till windows 7. Never got it to work, 'cause it doesn't play on my CD drive. When I downloaded the drivers, it didn't connect either. From the instructions, the resolution looks really poor as well. Never got it to work and I'm an IT guy.

Amazing -- does everything it is supposed to do -- not complicated and results are fabulous! Doesn't take long to scan several hundred slides and photos.

I like the three types of uses for copying my pictures from slides, film negatives, and 4 x 6 photographs. The quality of the pictures is not very sharp or as bight as I would like so I have to retouch the copies myself using a photo app which was available in the internet. It is faster to use this technique for copying photographs I would like to keep and show from a flash drive on a TV or smartphone or tablet. If I want a better quality photograph I use my printer scanner and enhance the photos for better details and color. I have also used a handheld portable scanner but the quality is not sharp or detailed somewhat like the Innovative copier. I gave it three stars because it is a good alternative for copying photographs to your computer; however, the sharpness and brightness of the copies is missing.

great unit that does what it says it will do. manual and not automated, but that works out fine and the software is great to use. so far all I've played with is my Kodachrome collection. the image results have been good and it handles paper or plastic holders easily. great product for the money if you don't mind manual operations.
