For such a small unit, it pumps out so much heat. It easily heats my 7 litre cast iron Dutch oven. I would definitely recommend this.

Der Iwatani Tatsujin III besticht durch sein tolles Design und gute Leistung! Endlich versteht jemand mal, dass sich beides nicht auszuschließen hat. Die Flamme lässt sich sehr genau regeln und der Verbrauch der Butangas-Kartuschen ist sehr effizient!

I've got an electric stove and a standalone induction burner which are both useful. Being able to add a gas burner to the mix is fantastic. You need super high heat for your wok, check. You want precise temperature control while you're deep frying, also check. If you're like me, it will only be a few months before you spend more on the butane than did on the burner.

Its not all 5 stars though. The box arrived packaged in an Amazon box and the supplier box (Iwatani) was in perfect condition, no visible damage and looked like it had not been opened before.Inside everything looked to be good as well until I looked closely, then I noticed a few things were slightly bent, so it must have been dropped, and quite hard at that.The front screw was at an angle and the gas cover did not align with the stove, and the rear part of the gas chamber was also bent, nothing bad, but noticeable.I removed the screws and straightened the bent parts and refitted the cover which I also had to slightly bend to get the gaps perfect, there was hardly anything in it but now it is better.The gas canister connected easily and the stove lit and operated perfectly.I then noticed that it did not sit level. The foot nearest the gas valve was pushed in from underneath a couple of mm and this caused the stove to sit on three feet, so a bit more fettling was required to bring this foot back out and get the stove perfectly level.It looks like the box must have been dropped from height straight down and it landed flat, the only part with any weight (The valve) is where all the bending occurred to the bottom of the stove.So this was the only gripe, now it is all nice and straight and gaps are all sorted, the stove works very well indeed, it really chucks out some heat so will have to watch I dont burn anything. But it is also very adjustable. Really pleased with this.

The stovetop is beautiful to look at and works very well. My first time cooking Shabu Shabu (Japanese hot pot) at home. Highly recommend. BTW, Amazon will not ship the Iwatani brand butane canisters to my address due to regulations. Found another brand at H Mart, and it worked well. Cooking at the table made our holiday meal more fun.

If the power goes out this is a lifesaver. You can cook right in the middle of your table if you like. When I lived in Japan I enjoyed these portable burners. When I got back to the states I ended up using mine often just because I prefer a gas burner to an electric eye. I've given them as gifts and people are surprised how handy it is to have. Easy to operate. One can of butane lasts a good while. I have cooked entire meals using just this one burner. Highly recommended.

Le réchaud est très bien fini, rien à voir avec les réchauds de camping que l’on voit d’habitude. Très design et très facile d’utilisation. Il chauffe très vite car sa puissance est bien présente . Je recommande son achat.

Let’s be honest here most of us bought this product not because it looks great but the fact that it’s made in Japan the look is bonus, bought one a few years ago still work like the day I bought it, my mom took it from me few days ago so I bought another one. It’s very lightweight very easy to clean and many extra attachments for other cooking methods can be bought, if it’s made in Japan I’m buying it I don’t care how much more it cost I just know I will never need to replace it like all the other garbage quality products out there. Also this stove take those portable propane cans that u can buy at any Asian grocery stores pack of 4 for 5.99$

this burner has been the best purchase i've ever made for anything in my kitchen. I have been using the same one for over a year and a half now and have had no problems with it whatsoever. cooking with a gas cooktop is really the best way to cook in my opinion. I think for those of us in kitchens with no option for gas, this is the next best thing.
