This kaleidoscope is beautiful. The little triangle piece inside slides forward sometimes and comes out the end but stops where the color wheels are. I purchased this as a gift for someone else knowing this might happen because someone mentioned it in another review. It looks like it has a little bit of a black sticky strip on the outside of the triangle shaped mirror that is supposed to hold it inside but it slides out anyway. It doesn’t fall completely out because it is stopped by the color wheels but it is mildly off putting and disappointing. However, the colors and designs created by the color wheels are beautiful, enchanting in fact and I will buy this piece again despite the flaw because it is so similar to the one my Grandfather had on his mantle when I was a child. I just hope the manufacturer figures out a way to fix this at some point. The triangle design and outward appearance of this piece is also lovely and fit to be on a mantle. The only concern is if you want to show it to your grandchild, with that mirror piece sliding forward, it seems too fragile.

Beautiful gift for a glass collector. My son has a wide array of glass artwork ranging in prices. The pandemic has taken a toll on all of us, including my son and his ability to see all of the beauty that is in each piece. This kaleidoscope seems to have reawakened his love of glass. For a good price we found a piece that provides us with an infinite display of shapes and colors. Spin the two discs towards each other for an amazing water color effect. Also a great piece to sit on a fireplace mantel.

I get beautiful colors. I do wish there were more shapes. I use it and keep it near a window which is were I get my best light to use the scope.

Quality kaleidoscope for children and adults. Seems as sturdy as a glass item can be in that it’s put together with care. I purchased it for an adult friend. She was delighted. My grandson, who is 8, fell in love with it. I have purchased one for him. It remains to be seen how this item will fare with him. September 2018 is when he will receive it.
