So. I don’t write a lot of reviews but this product deserves a good rating. Great even! I ordered a two pack hoping to put one aside in case the issue recurred. I show before an after pictures. I’m quite happy. I have had stained steps for two years and I had been looking at this product and finally I bought it. After the first application, I did see huge improvement. But they weren’t truly restored to white, so I did the second application. Voila! I’m happy. White steps again. Dirty steps just make the whole pool look dirty, even if the water is pristine. Not any more! I’d buy this again for sure. And will try it on my fixtures and skimmer box top too. I gave 4 stars only because it took two applications and this stuff isn’t cheap!

I wish I had taken before and after photos, but I have been fighting metal stains on my pool steps for three weeks and had almost given up when I found this stuff. It LITERALLY worked like magic in two minutes. I am going to stock up on more because it will be my go to for metal stains ALWAYS.

You need way too much of this product. It’s expensive given how much you need. I found other things for much less that work much better. Don’t waste your money.

I used this product on my steps at the beginning of the pool season. It did a fantastic job removing the brown/rust color stains from my pool steps. It transforms then from stained to white in a couple minutes without any scrubbing. My steps took two treatments ( 2 dry 2wet bottles) to clear all stains. Just a quick tip, apply 1 treatment per instructions and wait several hours or even over night before applying another treatment. Most of the stains disappear quickly, but areas on the walls may take hours to fade and finally disappear. Water must be smooth so apply on calm evening ( no wind) after last use when you can leave the filter off for a long time. If you get the product on parts above the waterline it will turn the area purple. Apply when there is no wind and quickly scrub off any area above the waterline that begins turning purple to avoid stains. I used a small brush and gentle brush strokes to avoid stirring up the water as much as possible. My only issue is that the stains returned 2 months later which is the reason for this re-order. This stuff works great but is rather pricey.

I highly regret not taking a video of the process but never in a million years would I have guessed this stuff would have worked this well. I’m sure not all pool stair stains are equal and are all caused by different things. However, I can tell you that I’m a first time pool owner who was actually a bit embarrassed by the brownish steps and this stuff literally transformed them to BRIGHT white INSTANTLY. I’m talking about infomercial type results where it transforms in seconds in front of your eyes. It seemed very expensive for a cleaning solution - until I saw the results. Zero scrubbing - just pour it into the water over the stairs. When I saw how quickly it was working, I grabbed my phone and took the attached pictures mid way through. All 3 steps were the same color when I started, and here you can see the difference between the top which the solution had reached and the bottom step which it hasn’t reached yet since it’s deeper.

I have someone that cleans and services my pool weekly. I have been asking them to please treat my steps cause I just put a brand new liner in. I was informed it would be an extra 50.00 that would be added to my bill that’s already 125.00. So I started looking and found this product. I applied it just as the directions called for. I was shocked of how sparkling and white my pool steps looked. If I can purchase 4 bottles for 50.00 and do it myself and know it’s done right, then that’s the way to go. It was so easy. I recommend this product if you’re having problems with stains on your steps.
