I have a system of trail cams that are all hooked into a centralized battery and solar panels. These volt meters gives me a rough idea on what the system voltage looks like. And if I lose one, it's no big deal.

I needed a means to monitor the battery voltage on a 6A gel cell battery being charged daily by a solar panel for a rainwater distribution system. This worked perfectly.

I tested it on a 60 HZ power and it consecutively showed. after several attempts on 120 volts and a false reading, I decided to apply 220 volts to see it will be more accurate. with 220 volts applied, it exploded into a small ball of flames and smoke.. I guess i smoked it. But what good was it anyway. DONT BUY! it is a worthless piece of crap.

Have found it to be fairly accurate in the 5 to 50V range in which I use it. It is a very good value for the money. The color is easily seen, and is rather pleasing to my eye.Would definitely buy again, although there are many cases where having a back is a necessity for safe isolation from metal pieces & parts wishing to assist in the generation of the "magic" smoke.

I changed the charging system in my Club Car golf cart so the battery low warning light stopped working. There were unconnected wires in the dash that were connected directly to the 48v battery set and this fit easily in the dash by the steering column with an on/off switch beside it. Now I have a "gas gauge" in the golf cart.FYI, it is not waterproof so some silicone around the edges was required for the golf cart which lives outside in the Summer.

DO NOT BUY!! This is not the same unit as in the pictures. Different layout on circuit board and unit only lasted 2 weeks now is dead with no display. DO NOT BUY!!
