Your cart is empty.Designed to vent the air from the main lines, as well as on longer runs (depending on the size of the building). Has 1/2” x 3/4” combination vertical connection. Use one or more at the end of the short main, or the, main running to the warm side of the building. Also use two or three at the end of the long main, or the main running to the cold side of the building.

I had a Gorton #1 that was hissing all the time. Defective? I don't know. I bought Jacobus to replace the Gorton and the hissing stopped. Now it is very quiet. Jacobus is my go to brand for steam air vents.

My home has a 1929 Richardson snowman steam boiler. There were no main vents on the pipes in the cellar, so I installed four from Home depot. While they had a 3/4 threading they did not vent air quickly enough. The one I replaced had split open and was leaking. After replacing with the Jacobus #1 the radiators on that run heated faster once the boiler heated up. I order 3 more to replace the others.
