Hyakunin which I finished carefully. The Yomite unnecessary recitation with CD. This is the recitation of the All Japan Karuta Association dedicated reader. I enjoy hand as everyone takes even in the case of small number of people. You will read in any order as long as CD player of the random function. Tag Hyakunin was printed in the textbook body prosody of five-seven-five-seven-seven. Manual with you covering all neck, all Yomibito. The best practice for taking Carta, even for materials. Package size: 135 x 170 x 60 mm

Part of the fun of this game is the ability to quickly grab or slap away the cards. However these are made out of cheap cardboard. So on my first slap away I bent Ono No Komachi in half. The professional sets are plastic like Hanafuda. So, a good learning toy. But not for actual playing.

I'm a self taught Japanese language learner, as is my brother. This was a Christmas gift for him and he loved it. Very sturdy material was used for each card and the artwork is beautiful. I recommend.

Pros:-Competition sized cards-DVD with professionally recorded readings-Good material, its what competition cards are made out of. Might damage the edges it they get hit against the wall but otherwise they hold up well.-Shipped from Japan but via air (standard shipping) and arrived in two weeks instead of the 4 it said it would take.Cons:-DVD contains 99 tracks... the first one is the opening poem, not poem 1. This means that a few of the poems are on the same track. Not the greatest but it works. There are also apps that work well if you find the DVD to be an issue.-Some of the writing isn't very clear. The hiragana pronunciation of some of the kanji on the reading cards can be quite hard to read at times. I mainly find that き andさ tend to look very similar as they are so small.

This product was actually way better than I was expecting! I'd give 10 stars if I could! The cards are perfect for flicking away when you hear the right word/note and the CD is perfect for practicing at home! :D

Came with everything I need to play hundred poets carta at home.100 reading cards and 100 playing cards. The reading cards are numbered but the playing cards are not.The cards were shipped in order and matched up. The side of the box folds out so you can get the cards out easier. The reading cards all have furigana. The playing cards are in hiragana. The CD has a track for each poem, and they have background music but it is much softer than the voice and the voice is clear. The CD booklet also paraphrases each poem in modern Japanese.

I love karuta and this set is just beautiful. The cards are made of the traditional Japanese card stock that I am used to. There is a sturdiness to the cards just as expected out of karuta cards. The pictures and kana on the cards are quite nice as well. The CD works well for when I do not have someone to read the poems to me.
