Our Spice Lid is made from sturdy and long-lasting stainless steel, specially designed to bring even more uses to your regular mouth mason jars. Please note, this item does not include any mason jar components (Jar, Lid, or Ring). We recommend using a 4, 8, or 16 oz. jar for best use. To use, apply some force to snap lid on. When properly secured, this stylish lid will provide you with a tight seal and feature two different options, allowing you to either shake or pour spices. Because, let's be honest, everything's better in a mason jar. #RaisingTheJar

Perfect addition to a mason jar collection. If you’re a recycler but want an elegant look this is it. It allows me to shake, pour or slip a tiny measure spoon in. Would be nice to have the two pieces vs. one though.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this! It’s incredibly handy & eliminates the need for a 2nd/separate shaker!! Very easy to identify which is for salt vs pepper only and which is combined!! One of the best purchases we’ve found for using jars in our day to day!!

I like to keep a regular size mason jar filled with a mix of sugar and cinnamon to use when I make toast or pies. I LOVE the shaker top that has large holes, smaller holes and a pour hole so I have a choice which to use and it also closes so none of the holes are exposed and it keeps the sugar and cinnamon fresh and clump free. Where have these things been all my life? They are so perfect, especially for daily cooking of anything that needs sugar and cinnamon. Here's an update. I found another perfect use for these tops. I put my kitchen cleansers in them, like Bar Keepers Friend because if I leave it in the cardboard containers it comes in, eventually the moisture in the kitchen causes the powder to harden and clump into an unusable chunk. So I put the powder in a mason jar and put the top on and that keeps the powder loose. The only think I could add is that the company that makes these Jarware shakers would also include a screw down cap with the shaker top.

I will likely keep this if my husband likes it because I think that it would be nice for grilling. However, the box that the item came in looks like an old, dirty, box, with some sort of yellow stain all over it. Pretty nasty actually. I didn’t want to touch it.

Es un objeto inútil, para una cocina industrial es algo complicado de usar y para una cocina casera la cantidad de sal almacenada es demasiada, al grado de ser poco útil y humedecerse la sal por el tiempo guardada. Mejor un salero y pimentero separado.

This topper has worked beautifully for our celtic salt and organic pepper. I use a really fine grind of pepper, so it may not work as well if you like a larger grind. There are several options for both the salt and pepper with fewer holes as well and more holes. Very happy with it.

I knew it didn’t come with the screw ring top (but think it should = one star). I was really happy with the product overall and made an awesome set of shakers for bbq rubs. Good quality. Good fit. I especially like the choice in pour options and there is no play in the lid. There has been a history of some pricing flux on these. $13.XX seemed high, and I would not recommend the value for higher, but do recommend these otherwise.

I had never seen one of these and was curious about how it worked. It works pretty well and we use it for everyday/in kitchen dining. It's handy in that you only have to carry one shaker to the table, but it is heavier than your average salt or pepper shaker. We have noticed that when using it in the combination setting you get much more salt than pepper so in order to get enough pepper, you have a tendency to over salt. Best to just dial one and then the other. I think it would make a cute little gift for someone who is a kitchen gadget nut.....like myself.

These are great in concept and mostly work great, however they seem to have variable resistance on turning the lid to expose the various holes; in some cases very loose and turns on its own, and in other cases very tight and difficult to turn. This seems to be a manufacturing issue as I had purchased 9 of these and out of those 9 1 was far too loose to the point that it doesn't stay in place, and 1 was far too tight to the point where it is very difficult to turn.

It probably said this somewhere, but I didn't realize it had two shaker sizes and a pour, I was expecting only the large shaker, so was pleasantly surprised. I purchased to use with a small Mason jar I keep my fresh ground parmesan in. It fit really easily on the jar and has a rubber seal for a snug fit. The top twists without sticking and was easy to wash.

BE AWARE THAT IT TAKES REGULAR-MOUTH SIZED LIDS!! If you're someone, like me, who has a boatload of mason jars, but every one of them is wide-mouthed, you will have to purchase a jar to use this handy little item. Hence the reason I've yet to actually USE it. :( I will come back to adjust my rating if I find that after I use it I change my opinion. However, I did purchase some 4oz regular-mouthed jars to use as spice shakers with the Ball herb-shaker lids, and the ring for those jars is a VERY tight fit with this. I do not know if the 4oz jar lids are smaller than regular sized lids or not, but I would be surprised if they were (I just don't know), so that's another thing of which to be aware. Now, that aside, this is a handy little gadget and I'm glad I own it (though I think it's a bit over-priced). As I tend to spice my food liberally, we've never needed a salt or pepper shaker on the table, so YMMV. I'm planning on using it with cocoa and confectioner's (10X) sugar (or two different types of cocoa) as I tend to use those in smaller amounts than salt but still use a surprising amount of cocoa. I'm heavy on the salt and often grab it by the handful. I mainly use coarse Kosher, or Maldon sea flakes, and they just won't fit through the holes of this shaker. While typing this, it finally occurred to me to put the Maldon in one of the 4oz jars with the Ball lid, so I just did. Works beautifully! Also, I found this ( https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01410LTWC ) sitting in my jar cabinet. Think I'll throw some Kosher salt in a pint jar as soon as I can get a regular-mouth jar. I hate that all these products are made only for regular-mouth jars. :(Hmmm, thinking about it - fine ground Himalayan sea salt and finely ground pepper might be a great use for this product ... I may need more than 1! LOL My mind is just a'spinnin' now! :DI'm sorry this is so long. I got excited about the product! LOVE my mason jars and am always looking for ways to use them. If this review was helpful to you, please let me know! :D Otherwise, I'll try and be much less long-winded on my next review.ETA: Since someone gave this 2 stars because his coarsely ground pepper won't fit through the holes ... well, now you know! It's for use with more finely ground products (can't even use dried herbs with it). So, those of you considering purchasing this item, do so in full knowledge that it has much smaller holes than the other 2 shaker lids I've so far found for use with mason jars. YAY! At last there's a product with smaller holes as I can't use the Ball or Jarware lid with fine-ground spices.
