However, I ordered two of them and one didn't work. When I contacted the seller, I was promptly refunded upon receipt of the returned item.

Not sure what everyone else is talking about as far as sound quality.. sounded like the speaker at a gas pump. Had plenty of power to it and the distortion was horrendous. The bass was not as anyone else described. Returning.

if you want to use it for background music ok, but when you increase the volume you will start to feel the distortion especially in the bass, bad quality for music with more beats

These speakers sound great and look good in the garden. They blend in well with the bushes and other plants. The sound quality is crisp and clear and they have a good volume output. They get louder than is comfortable to listen to, so there's plenty of room to adjust them to a good volume. They are easy to wire and install and have a power adjustment knob so you can tune your multi-speaker 70v system. I did have a couple units where the power adjustment knob was glued in place and I couldn't turn it. Some potting compound leaked from inside the unit and glued the switch in place. I got them exchanged through Amazon and the new units did not have that problem. Otherwise, they have lasted well outdoors and still work great.

Holding up well so far, had for about six months. The bass is non existent but at least we have some sound in the back yard. They were larger than I thought they would be.

Used these to replace 4 Bose mushroom-type outdoor speakers for a miniature golf course renovation and, WOW!! what a difference! The fullness of sound was amazing! Way better bass, but in no way did the bass overpower the mids and highs as it was all really well balanced and very musical. Also what was much, much better was the distance that the speakers broadcast the music. It was clear all over the golf course with NO dead spots! That sure didn't happen with the Bose! We bolted these speakers to concrete blocks and buried them up to the sound-port - they're really solid in the ground. All in all, I'm very, very happy with these speakers!

I have gone through numerous outdoor speakers that are this style.(Omni-directional, in-ground) The best for the price is the Tic GS3. My problem is; over the past 4 years I have blown 3 of the GS3's, OSD850, and a Bose. I try to stay in control, but sometimes the volume goes up (Like the time I said "Alexa: Metallica, volume 10.")I have both the 5.25 and the 8". As others have mentioned, the highs are less than desired, hence the 4 star review. But the power handling? Excellent.Don't get me wrong, they still sound good, and I would recommend.

These are great speakers. They can be very loud and they have great sound distribution. I would say they are as good as my DT6500’s and those are great speakers. They have slightly less highs but more bass, especially outdoors. The only negative up to now is they are very power hungry. I have it connected to a 140W RMS per channel amplifier and it requires 70% of the volume to even start moving them. However by 85% they are almost unbearably loud. They are connected by 12 AWG cable on a 50 ft run which is likely contributing but even directly connected to the amplifier they required a lot of power. I don’t know how these would do on a 70v/100v system as I have not tried this. This will likely improve as they break in but it is something to consider. Especially if choosing between this and the 85m as the smaller cone should require less power. Overall I am very happy with these speakers and they are a great addition to my pool sound system.
