From an experienced mechanic for 50 plus years. “Pay more and get better quality, had a broken cap on the first order and a missing pin in the cam gear on the second. Would not buy again” Plus the shipping box was in horrible shape.

So after much work, tune up, new inigition conltrol box, new cam, lifters ,valve springs and timing chain had a miss on #7 cylinder wasnt firing correctly no change when plug wire was pulled off number #7 plug, but have135-150lbs compression all new intake seals hoses, I was stumped. figured lets just try this distributor. Problem solved should have done this first now my engine runs perfect fires on all cylinders, idles real nice and starts as soon as you hit the key. If your running the old stock inigition on a 1980 ford 400m V8 and have a miss poor running engine with good compression this cured it for me. The vac port on the carb worked best for the vac advance with this distrutor. I don't write reviews often but figured others may benefit from my situation. I now love my old ford again!

This HEI distributor replaced my existing unit that had a bad vacuum advance and bad igniter. Did a direct swap-out in under 30 min. Runs great for less than the price of the single parts alone.

I was fixing a 1980 Ford F-600 with 370 (385 series motor, same as 429/460) that had a worn out distributor, broken coil, suspect ignition box along with corroded, cracked and crumbling wiring. While searching to try to find parts I stumbled across this HEI conversion distributor!!! Like a bolt from the blue....here is the solution! The DuraSpark II system was not very good when they were new and this one was thoroughly trashed so converting to a fresh HEI was a massive upgrade...not to mention a LOT easier for me being I had to find one 12V wire to power it rather than track down the rats nest of stock wiring under that hood. Fired right up...couldn't be happier. And the customer was just amazed that he got a new HEI distributor for such a good price. Thanks very much!

HEI distributor made a huge difference on my 351 Cleveland 69 Mustang. Higher spark and a stronger start. Dropped it in, connected the key on power wire and tach wire, set timing, done.
