It was simple for me to install but I'm an IT guy and been repairing items like this for years. This replacement didn't work.

Perfect fit for the 040 part. The usb port wasn’t fully soldered onto the pcb. Only the usb pins were. The strain relief ones weren’t.No ribbon is included (as expected) so be sure to save your existing one.Controller works and charges great now

Replaced the bit in my PS4 controller with this after it stopped being able to charge. The port is still a little loose for the USB cord to stay in fully, but it works and saved me from buying a new controller.

I already had my controller opened up as this arrived so after a quick couple minutes of dealing with falling screws it popped right into place and assembled it back together in a matter of minutes. Much better than spending more than 10x this to get a new controller

Item is exactly how it seems, it works great and is easy to install as long as you know how to assemble a ps4 controller. The only note is that it doesn’t include a new ribbon cable so if yours is badly bent or torn, then this isn’t the right item for you

Been installed about a month and still working. My kids go through these ports all the time. Glad they are easy to replace. Much less expensive than a new controller.

It worked. It was a direct fit, Downside it doesnt come with the cable. It didn't solve my problem with my controller my guess now battery is toast.

Works Great! My ps4 controller now charges and connect to my pc perfectly! I recommend this product to anyone who has a loose charge port.
