Yes. THESE are the ones to purchase. They have pointed screws that penetrate your waistband fabric. (Watch out for others with flat-end screws.) These buttons are also highly superior to the types with the protruding ends that hold the pins of the buttons … but poke into your stomach. GET THESE. I leave mine attached to my jeans through the wash and dry cycles, no problems. Get these.

I only needed one. Too bad it only made sense to order in these larger kits.But it works exactly as described and so was so easy to replace a broken button on my denim pants.

So I have to say that I know how to sew buttons, but have completely stopped and only use these replacements. I initially bought them to change a button on my favorite pair of jeans, which worked amazing and about a week later a pair of shorts I was wearing the thread pulled out so instead of sewing a new button on I went to my kit. It did an amazing job on cloth shorts also. The quality is very good and there’s no problems with comfort. Takes about five seconds to replace a button and the best part is it comes with everything you need.
