What a waste of time and money

With this fuel sender, the magnet moves around inside of the float, plus it's not as long as the original bobcat part. I ran out of gas while it was still showing just above the red zone on the fuel gauge, so somehow it never reads as empty as it did before.Btw - I found a home brew tool that made my life much easier - search for "Adapter socket Tool for Bobcat 7286464 Fuel Sender" on a popular auction site.Update 12/10/22 - The sender has failed and I'll need to replace it again.

The end-cap [small black plastic cap piece] that keeps the float from coming of the end of the shaft, is easily dislodged, allowing for the unsurprising possibility that the cap could release, allowing the float to simply come off the shaft, bumping around the inside of the fuel tank.

It works but the magnet inside the float just flops up and down its not glued on so you don't get a true reading on fuel but it's better than nothing because it does read empty. But not completely full that's why I gave it 3 stars and the threads are a bit too small so don't Overtight .

threads were incorrect had to file down to make fit filed them down to get to go into tank will order Bobcat OEM next time
